Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Stand Down for Civilians SAPR-C is mandatory training for all appropriated fund (APF) personnel, nonappropriated fund (NAF) personnel and military who supervise Department of Navy civilians. Local nationals and contractors are invited, but not required to attend.

Maximum class size is 50 personnel and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

Reminder: NEX Offering Online School Meal Payments for 2013-2014 School Year The Naples NEX is now offering parents and guardians the convenience of making secure, cashless payments online through MyPaymentsPlus, for their children’s school meals. The online system, www.MyPaymentsPlus.com, will also offer mobile apps for smartphones and tablets, and is scheduled to be utilized for the 2013-2014 school year. It will allow parents to make one-time or auto payments, check balances, and receive reminders via email. Parents will still be able to add money to their child's account by visiting the NEX customer service desk. Adult Lap Swimming at Support Site Pool Morning Lap Swim for ages 18 and older is available from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday until Aug. 22. Please enter and sign in at the rear pool gate. All lap swimmers must exit the water by 11:30 a.m. or when directed to do so by a lifeguard.

Aug. 19-23: American Soccer Club of Naples (ASC) Soccer Camp The ASC week-long soccer camp will take place from Aug. 19-23 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Cost is $110 per child. ASC 2013-14 season tryouts will be held Aug. 27 and 28 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Aug. 29, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. All events will be held at the north soccer fields on the Support Site.

Aug. 19-24: Naples High School Band Camp Marching Band Camp for grades 8-12 will take place Aug. 19 – 23 at the Naples High School Band Room, Room 131, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendance is encouraged but not mandatory. Camp consists of learning music and marching drill for the upcoming season’s marching show. There is no associated cost. Aug. 22: Serving Our Sea Warriors/Soldiers Outreach The first SOS (Serving Our Sea Warriors/Soldiers) outreach will be held Thurs., Aug. 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Capo BEQ BBQ area. Aug. 28-29: Sexual Assault Training from Central Michigan University The Department of the Navy Sexual Assault Prevention & Response Office and NSA Naples SAPR team presents No Zebras & More from Central Michigan University. No Zebras is a one-hour presentation that addresses sexual violence, stalking, and harassment through 12 vignettes and discusses bystander intervention. No Zebras is designed for junior Sailors and Marines, but all personnel are welcome to attend as space permits.

Now: Registration is open for Youth Sports’ fall season at the Support Site Youth Center from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Soccer is for children ages 3-17 years old, flag football is for children ages 9-14 years old. The cost for a family’s first child registered is $60.

There will be a 20% discount for the remaining siblings. Participants ages 9-17 must attend a team assessment for both soccer and flag football. The team assessment is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Carney Park on Sat., Aug. 24.

Aug. 16: Prior to registration for fall gymnastics, participants ages 5+ must attend mandatory assessments to place them in the correct class. Registration will begin the following week: Aug. 19-20 for spring 2013 participants and Aug 21 for open registration. Assessments will be 4-6 p.m. on Aug. 16. Registration is Aug. 19-21 and session dates are Sep. 9 – Nov. 14. All activities are in the Support Site Youth Center.

Carney Park pool is open Friday - Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Support Site pool is open Friday - Tuesday, from noon to 7 p.m. Daily entry fee is $4 per adult and $3 per child (5-17 yrs). Guests with regular base guest pass are admitted for a $5 fee.
