Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Stand Down for Civilians SAPR-C is mandatory training for all appropriated fund (APF) personnel, nonappropriated fund (NAF) personnel and military who supervise Department of Navy civilians. Local nationals and contractors are invited, but not required to attend. Maximum class size is 50 personnel and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. The last August session will be at the Capo theater (NF4/GS9 and above) Wednesday, Aug. 28 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Please contact Lt. Reminder: NEX Offering Online School Meal Payments for 2013-2014 School Year The Naples NEX is now offering parents and guardians the convenience of making secure, cashless payments online through MyPaymentsPlus, for their children’s school meals. The online system, www.MyPaymentsPlus.com, will also offer mobile apps for smartphones and tablets, and is scheduled to be utilized for the 2013-2014 school year. It will allow parents to make one-time or auto payments, check balances, and receive reminders via email. Parents will still be able to add money to their child's account by visiting the NEX customer service desk. Adult Lap Swim: Morning Lap Swim for ages 18 and older is available from 8 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday & Tuesday, Aug. 26 & 27. Please enter and sign in at the rear pool gate. Capo pool re-opens on Sept. 3. Carney Park pool’s last day is Aug. 25 and Support Site Pool’s last day is Sept. 2. Aug 23: 3rd Annual Back2School Block Party The third annual Back2School Block party will be held on Friday, Aug. 23 from 3:306:30 p.m. in the area in front of the school, and will feature food, music, fun and the 2nd Annual "Chalk the Walk" Competition. Aug 24: Annual Mud Run at Carney Park Register for the Mud Run at 7 a.m. The 1-mile run begins at 8 a.m., and the 5K run begins at 8:45 a.m. Cost is $5, kids under 6 are free. Aug. 24: Mandatory Youth Sports Assessments at Carney Park Assessments begin at 10 a.m. All youth sports participants must attend these mandatory assessments in order to be placed on an MWR Youth League: Flag Football (ages 9-14)


and Soccer (ages 9-17). Students must be registered no later than Aug. 23; registrations will NOT be accepted on day of assessments. Aug. 28-29: Sexual Assault Training from Central Michigan University The Department of the Navy Sexual Assault Prevention & Response Office and NSA Naples SAPR team presents No Zebras & More from Central Michigan University. No Zebras is a one-hour presentation that addresses sexual violence, stalking, and harassment through 12 vignettes and discusses bystander intervention. No Zebras is designed for junior Sailors and Marines, but all personnel are welcome to attend as space permits. Aug. 29: Craft Crew with Connect the Tots Connect the Tots is holding a craft event for families with young children on Thursday, August 29th at the Support Site Community Center. Aug. 30: NATO Lions Rugby Football Club Initial Training NATO Lions Rugby Football Club will hold the 2013/14 season's initial training session at Carney Park 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30. Newcomers of all nationalities are welcome, and it is an opportunity for regular players to re-engage after the summer break. The training session will be followed by the Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 8:30 p.m. offsite. The new season's committee members will be elected at the AGM, along with an explanation of rugby and the association’s organization. Hours of Operation Change The Pharmacy Department at USNH Naples hours of operation will be changing effective Monday, Sept. 9. There will be no change in services provided, however the Pharmacy will be closing one hour earlier Monday through Friday. This change only affects the pharmacy at USNH Naples at Support Site. Weekend and holiday refill pick up hours will also remain the same. The new hours of operation are as follows: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (all pharmacy services available); weekends and holidays from 1 to 4 p.m. (pick up for prescription refills called in at DSN 629-6226 or 081-8116226 or any prescriptions previously processed in person at the Pharmacy).
