Maintain Preparedness for Increased Force Protection Measures NSA Naples may implement increased force protection measures that will impact the community, should such changes be necessary. Please ensure that you carry additional identification and plan for a longer-than-normal wait time when trying to gain access to NSA Naples. Navy Lodge Naples Missing Luggage Carts The Navy Lodge Naples located at the NSA Naples Support Site Village Forum complex is missing several new luggage carts. The luggage carts belong to the Navy Lodge Naples and are intended for use by service members and families without a car to transport luggage during a PCS. The luggage carts are stainless steel with a black carpet base. If community members see them around the support site, please call the Navy Lodge at DSN 629-6289 or 081-813-3443. Free/Reduced Lunch Meal Program Applications for free and reduced lunch are available at the Fleet and Family Service Center, Naples Elementary School and Naples Middle and High School. Scheduled AMI Power Outages Power outages are needed to install new power meters in several buildings at Capodichino in order to remotely control power consumption. All outages will be four hours in duration. The schedule is as follows: Sept. 11 at 5 p.m. at the Medical/Dental clinic, Sept. 11 at 11 p.m. at Capo Inn, Sept. 12 at 1 p.m. at Fire and Security, and Sept. 12 at 6 p.m. at the Child Development Center. Sept 7: Paintball at Support Site The Liberty Center will host paintball on Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Support Site for all hands from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Equipment and field fees are $10. Paintballs can also be purchased for an additional fee. Sept. 9: USNH Naples Pharmacy Dept. Hours of Operation Change The Pharmacy Department at U.S. Naval Hospital Naples will be changing its hours of operation on Monday, Sept. 9. There will be no change in services provided, however the Pharmacy will be closing one hour earlier Monday through Friday. This change only affects the Support Site Pharmacy. Weekend and holiday refill pick up hours will also remain the same. The new hours of operation are as follows: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (all pharmacy services available); weekends and holidays from 1 to 4 p.m. (pick up for prescription refills called in at DSN 629-6226 or 081-811-6226 or any prescriptions previously processed in person at the Pharmacy). Sept. 9: AFN Naples Begins Midday Show Beginning Sept. 9, AFN Naples will bring you its very own Midday Show Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on 106.0 FM. Once the new Midday Show joins AFN's weekday radio line-up, listeners will be able to hear local programming from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.; 12 straight hours of local news, contests, and more! CYP and BGCA bring a day of activities to Carney Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Packet pick up for the “Color It Up” 5K Fun Run begins at 8 a.m. and the Run begins at 10 a.m. First 500 participants will receive race packets with t-shirt. Race costs $15 for adults and $10 for ages 5-17. Ages 5 and up; no dogs, please. The race is expected to sell out so pre-register by Sep. 19. After the race, there will be inflatables, music and games sponsored by the USO. Transportation is available from Support Site.
