USNH Naples Offers Flu Vaccine at Capo U.S. Naval Hospital, Naples will be holding an influenza vaccination clinic on the Capo Spine from Sept. 17-20. Employees assigned to the Capodichino Base are invited to the Capo Health Clinic in accordance with the following schedule: Tuesday, Sept. 17 from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18 from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20 from 7:30 a.m. to noon. An influenza vaccination clinic will also be offered at the Support Site Community Center on Thursday, Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. to capture those members taking the E-4 advancement exam. Programming Volunteers Needed for S.I.N.G.L.E.S. Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Stand Down for Civilians SAPR-C is mandatory training for all appropriated fund (APF), non-appropriated fund (NAF), military and personnel who supervise Department of the Navy civilians. Local nationals and contractors are invited, but not required to attend. Maximum class size is 50 personnel and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Scheduled AMI Power Outages Power outages are needed to install new power meters in several buildings at Capodichino in order to remotely control power consumption. All outages will be four hours in duration. The schedule is as follows: Sept. 17 at 8:30 a.m. at the East Parking Garage, Sept. 17 at 1:30 p.m. at the Air Passenger Terminal, Sept. 18 at 8:30 a.m. at the old food court, Sept. 18 at 1:30 p.m. at Bachelor Housing (BEQ III), and Sept. 20 at 8 a.m. Bachelor Housing (BEQ I). Spooktacular Volunteers and Food Vendors Needed MWR’s annual Spooktacular event will be held on Friday, Oct. 25 at Support Site’s Central Park. Volunteers are needed to help set-up, decorate and clean-up. Story tellers are needed for the hayride. MWR is also seeking food vendors. All NSA officially recognized private organizations (through Oct. 26) or commands are eligible to fundraise. Food vendor registration is now open and free with a Trick-or-Treat Space sign-up. Sept. 14: American Red Cross Disaster Action Team Display September is National Preparedness Month. The Naples American Red Cross encourages all households to get ready for the next emergency or disaster. On Sept. 14, the Naples American Red Cross Disaster Action Team will sponsor an emergency preparedness display to help community residents develop their Family Disaster Plan, receive preparedness tips and learn more about preparedness in the community. The event will take place at the Support Site NEX Food Court on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On display will be an Emergency Preparedness Kit, free information on disaster planning and preparedness. Sept. 14: Intramural Volleyball Officials Clinic Intramural Sports is offering a free clinic for all returning and prospective volleyball officials. No experience necessary. Sept. 14: End of Summer Fitness Faceoff Four-straight hours of back-to-back workouts at Support Site Central Park, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. No pre-registration required. Classes include Fit Pump, Bokwa (dance-based workout), Fit Boxe, EPOC (Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption) Training, and Pilates. All classes are 40 minutes with a 10-minute break to rehydrate, change and switch equipment. MWR provides water and equipment. Commemorative T-shirts will be available for purchase. Sept. 14-15: Intramural Flag Football/Youth Sports Flag Football/Soccer Officials Clinic Prospective officials for Intramural Flag Football and Youth Sports Flag Football & Soccer are required to attend this two day clinic. Sept. 15: USO Free Bingo USO Naples will host a free Back to School Bingo Event for U.S. military ID card holders at the Naples High School cafeteria on Sunday, Sept. 15, from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Prizes include gift baskets, home appliances, electronics and more. There will also be food vendors and door prizes. Doors will open at 3 p.m. Sept. 17: Bakery Self-Serve Display Installation at Commissary On Sept. 17, the commissary will be installing a new bakery self-serve display case. Due to the installation, the commissary will be unable to provide fresh bakery items as to ensure safety for the workers and patrons alike. Bread will be available for sandwiches only. Fresh baked items will be available on Sept. 18. Sept. 17-20: Naples Elementary School Fall Photos Naples Elementary School's Fall photos will be taken Tuesday, Sept. 17 - Friday, Sept. 20 for all students and staff. No change will be provided for cash payments. Sept. 19: NMCRS Baby Basics Class A monthly class on newborn care and other useful tips for expecting parents is scheduled to be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Sept. 19. The class is offered by Navy Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) visiting nurses and is open to U.S. military, civilians and NATO ID cardholders. Sep 21: Day for Kids with “Color It Up” Fun Run. CYP and BGCA bring a day of activities to Carney Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Packet pick up begins at 8 a.m. and the run begins at 10 a.m. The first 500 participants will receive race packets with tshirt. Race costs $15 for adults and $10 for ages 5-17. Ages 5 and up; no dogs, please. The race is expected to sell out so pre-register by Sep. 19.
