January 2, 2014 New Policy Limiting Purchase of Meat Products A new policy limiting the amount of meat products purchased on any given day has been issued by NSA Naples. The policy states that customers are limited to 8 of any single item and a maximum of 15 meat products per day. Purchases above this amount must be ordered 10 days in advance through DECA customer service (DSN: 629-4871). Patrons from Gaeta, Rome and other outlying areas are limited to 8 of any single item to a maximum of 25 meat products per day with proof of residency location. This policy is intended to enforce routine availability of all products. CNIC-Directed Facility Service Reductions Beginning in January, CNIC facility reductions will impact installation janitorial and grounds keeping services. These are CNO-approved service level reductions. For NSA Naples, sweeping, mopping and general cleaning of all spaces will be impacted. Deskside waste and recycling pick-up in administrative and operational areas will no longer be performed. This will require personnel to dispose of waste in central collection points. Restroom cleaning frequency will also be reduced. Reimbursable tenants are not impacted at this time. Additional details will be distributed when available through leadership and in future PAO Notes. Now- Jan. 6: Holiday Period Gate Operating Schedule: Capodichino: a. Front gate will remain operational and unaffected. b. Back gate will be closed during the aforementioned holiday period. Gricignano Support Site: a. Main gate will remain operational and unaffected. b. The back gate will only be opened during DECA and Navy Exchange delivery dates and times. January Youth Enrichment Classes at Support Site Gym Begin Enrollment Aikido: Twice-weekly classes for $70 per month; new session begins Jan. 8. Youth Ballet: Once-weekly ($30 per month) or twice-weekly classes ($50 per month) begins Jan. 8. Danse Classique, based on the Cecchetti method: Once-weekly classes for $35 per month; new session begins Jan. 9. Jazz Dance: Once-weekly classes for $35 per month; new session begins Jan. 7. Jan. 4: Youth Performance of ‘Blackbeard the Pirate.’ Naples Child and Youth Program (CYP) presents the Missoula Children’s Theater production of “Blackbeard the Pirate.” More than 50 local students bring to life this exciting tale of adventure and treasure hunting on Saturday, Jan. 4. Jan 6: Winter Gymnastics Assessments Participants aged 5-14 interested in winter gymnastics must attend this assessment event on Monday, Jan. 6, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Support Site Youth Center gym. Assessments do not guarantee a spot in class, but determine which class your child is eligible to attend. The 10-week program runs from Jan. 13 to March 25. Registration opens on Jan. 13 and runs until classes are full. During assessment and registration, priority will be first come-first served. Only registration with full payment reserves your child’s spot in a class. Cost ($135-$150), days and time depends on class level. Jan. 10: Craft Crew with Connect the Tots Connect the Tots is holding a craft event for families with young children on Friday, Jan. 10 at the community center. The event starts at 10:30 a.m. and is open to all U.S. and NATO ID card holders. All materials will be provided. For more information visit http://www.meetup.com/Connect-the-Tots-Club Jan 11: Navy Outdoor Recreation Single-Day Ski Trip With a minimum of 30 patrons, the Navy Outdoor Recreation (NOR) bus will provide roundtrip transportation to one of several local ski resorts. Jan. 15-16: American Soccer Club of Napoli Mid-Season Tryouts The American Soccer Club of Napoli (ASC) is holding mid-year tryouts for those interested in joining the club. Membership is open to all U.S. ID card holders, DOD civilian, and Allied Forces families with children between the ages of 7 and 19. Tryouts for children with year of birth between 2000-2006, will occur on Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Support Site south soccer fields with lights. Tryouts for children with year of birth between 1996-1999, will be on Thursday, Jan. 16, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the same location. Jan 29: Survivor Benefits Program Brief All transitioning service members, whether retiring or separating, are welcome to attend the upcoming Transition GPS stand-alone brief at the Capo theater on Wednesday, Jan 29, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Any questions regarding Tricare, the Survivor Benefits Program and/or the checkout process at PSD will be answered. Upcoming Changes to Euro Bill Payments The European Union will convert to Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) format for payment processing Feb. 1, 2014. SEPA will standardize payment processing in Europe and allow customers to make payments to all SEPA participating countries. Payments will require an International Bank Account Number (IBAN) and Business Identifier Code (BIC) for the payee. The payment cannot be executed without the IBAN and BIC for the payee. All Community members that send Euro electronic transfers for rent or bills will be impacted by this change. Please contact your financial Institution for additional details prior the implementation date. Additional MWR Updates New Youth Sports Registration Requirements: Parent Association for Youth Sports (PAYS) training course is now required to register for any youth sports program. The Training is free and at least one parent/guardian must complete the training and sign a Code of Ethics annually. Aikido: twice-weekly for $75 per month at Support Site Fitness Forum; new session begins Jan. 8. Urban Krav Maga (Real Self Defense) is held twice-weekly at Capo FitZone for $65 per month or $10 per individual class. Jan 6: Youth Basketball Coaches Meeting & Training. This meeting is mandatory for all volunteers interested in coaching youth basketball during winter season. Jan 6 – Feb 7: Swim to Sorrento Journey from Naples to Sorrento via the imaginary coastline in the Capo FitZone pool. This is a 26-kilometer self-paced swim (520 laps or 1040 lengths). Keep a log sheet; the lifeguard on duty will verify your laps. Prizes for all who finish and trophies awarded to the 1st and 2nd place finishers.
