A recent story
With the opening of the new Museum of North Vancouver in 2021, MONOVA is now a dynamic and innovative hub where the stories of North Vancouver’s people, places and past can come to life. To support this, the Friends Society recently hosted their annual fundraising event, “A Night At The Museum Fundraising Gala, ” on Oct. 25, 2022, where they celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of the North Vancouver Museum and Archives. The sold-out event at the new museum also recognized the contributions of “Living History Makers” from the community, who mingled with guests throughout the evening.

Facts
North Vancouver has a rich and diverse history with many voices, stories and perspectives. Museums and archives help us value and understand the places where we live, work and visit. They help us connect and form a sense of identity. As the only history museum on the North Shore, MONOVA’s role as a welcoming community hub is strengthened by the Friends Society’s members and donors.
