he annual Live Oak Music Festival is a benefit event for KCBX Public Radio happening Father’s Day weekend, June 16 through 18, at Live Oak Camp near Cachuma Lake. The event welcomes campers or day visitors of all ages to join hours of music, art, activities, food, and leisurely excitement. Headlining artists include Donavon Frankenreiter, Ozomatli, Jackie Greene, Paul Thorn, Lee Fields and the Expressions, Sara Watkins and Langhorne Slim, Nick Waterhouse, Birds of Chicago, The Brothers Comatose, Joe Koenig and the Homewreckers, The Tipsy Gypsies, Joe Craven and The Sometimers, and many more. The venue is Lompoc’s beautiful First United Methodist Church located at 925 North “F” Street in downtown Lompoc. Part of the program will highlight western hits and patrons will be treated to a cameo appearance of the ever-popular “Territorial Law” quartet performing “Ghost Riders in the Sky” among other audience favorites. Ticket prices are $20 for general admission and $5 for full-time students of all ages with Student ID card shown at the door. Children 12 and under are admitted free. Safe and Strong All Summer Long Safe and Strong All Summer Long programs offer children free recreational activities at several locations throughout the City of Santa Maria. Lunch is served daily in partnership with the Summer Food Program provided by Community Action Commission and Food Bank of SB County. Lunch must be eaten at the park. Activities include supervised games, crafts, sports, and music. Drop in format allows families to set their own schedule and have children arrive and leave at any time.
