TYING THE KNOT: Though handfasting has its roots in many cultures, Amanda Chojnacky and Matt Ankner wanted to incorporate handfasting into their ceremony not because it had cultural significance but because they thought it had more of a romantic sentiment. The practice involves the couple holding hands as cords—or in the case of a Celtic wedding, a tartan—“bind” the couple in matrimony.

UPDO-IT-YOURSELF: To quote the great Stevie Wonder, “Isn’t she lovely?” Answer: Yes.

LUSCIOUS LOCKS: For this bohemian style, the longer the hair, the better.

FAIRY QUEEN: You can top off this easy and flexible look with a floral crown or pin some flowers to the side of your head for a more natural look.
