KORE® Carbon Fiber Comments by Giampaolo Crepaldi
11/05/2010 –KORE® Carbon Fiber is made from P.A.N. (polyacrylonitrile) precursor with high performance qualities and with exceptional suitability to all different industrial applications.
According recent analysis and tests made by the Sapienza University in Roma, we commissioned, KORE ® fibers show a performance level above the fibers presently distributed in the worldwide market. The perfect carbonization of KORE® Carbon Fiber makes the product excellent even in applications where the aesthetic feature is predominant. In fact, the KORE® Carbon Fiber is completely evenly black, not brown tinged, as happens in most of the carbon fibers on the market today. The PAN‐based KORE® Carbon Fiber is produced in several standard types: Tow 3K (3000 filaments), a 200tex Tow 6K (6000 filaments), a 400tex Tow 12K (12000 filaments), a 800tex Tow 24K (24000 filaments), a 1600tex These products are made with different modulus values (GPa) of which the main are: 240 Gpa 270 Gpa 300 Gpa INFO (INF) Signed Date Designation

As can be seen, the standard range KORE® is very well stocked, to fully respond to requests ranging from the application of composite and automotive industry, to aerospace industry to reach the the variety of applications in the aeronautic field. Therefore KORE® Carbon Fiber has given and is giving a new answer to market demands. We can definitely say that it is an "improved" carbon fiber, certainly belonging to a new generation of carbon fibers, which can be defined as "second generation". This is due not only to the fiber performance, but also to its production process, that meets the changing needs of the third millennium on the environmental impact and energy savings. (G.
