Lee Wee Nam Library The flagship library in NTU. A very busy library with over 750,000 visits per year. That’s almost 50% of the 1.5 million visits to NTU libraries.
Lee Wee Nam Library Lee Wee Nam is a strong community leader and philanthropist. With a firm belief in education, he co-founded a school for girls. A generous donation from his family continues his legacy of supporting education.

Exhibitions for Discovery : Level 2 & 3 The exhibitions in this space are revolving. Student clubs and students are encouraged to stage their own exhibitions here. Currently, you see Cardboart – Thinking Hands created by Bartholomew Ting. Thinking hands sets us thinking beyond the usual use of materials and encourages innovation in re-purposing material into beautiful longer-lasting objects.
Discovery
Huxibit : An exhibition space on Level 2 Huxibit, which is an amalgam between ‘Aldous Huxley’ and ‘Exhibition’ is a showcase of student and faculty works. Send an email to library@ntu.edu.sg if you would like to showcase your works. Aldous Huxley wrote ‘Brave New World’, which looks at how technology changes society.

Arrakis On Level 2, there are many collaborative spaces for you to discuss and share your knowledge. This space is named Arrakis which is a planet found in the ‘Dune’ books by Frank Herbert. It is a planet that holds one of the richest resources in the entire universe. With a NTU staff/student account, you will be able to access rich information resources; accessible from anywhere 24/7.

Multi-monitor Workstations for Collaborative Work The multiple screens stations with multimonitor PCs allow you to work on multiple applications that are required to be shown all at the same time. These are popular so make sure you book them in advance.

Learn with Your Friends Use the PCs, interactive whiteboards and display screens to conduct group discussions and mock presentations.

Griffin Booths Another space for you to study in groups. Some booths offer small group study spaces where you can make yourselves ‘invisible’ for a while. Griffin is the name of the main character in the ‘Invisible Man’ by H G Wells. In the book, Griffin was a scientist who turned himself invisible.

Butler, Le Guin, Atwood, Tiptree, Wilhelm 5 circular pods named after renowned sci-fi authors Ursula K Le Guin, Margaret Atwood, Alice Bradley Sheldon (Tiptree), Kate Wilhelm and Octavia Butler. A space for you to share your knowledge and discoveries with your collaborators.

An Event Space: Trantor Here is where you can listen to talks. PhD students share their findings, authors give tips on writing, industry experts share their experience and student clubs share their passion. Come and offer your expertise! Trantor is the name of a planet in ‘Foundation and Empire’ series, which was written by Isaac Asimov. In this series, Trantor is a planet in the centre of the universe.

Recording Room Not quite ready for public speaking? The recording room is the place to practice and record yourself presenting.

Ender & Stargate These are places for you to share knowledge and learn in a small group setting. They are open to you to teach your juniors a topic of your interest. Learn to create blogsites and e-portfolios or just tinker around in the makerspaces.

Orson Scott Card wrote Ender’s Game. A novel centered around a brilliant cadet who is not afraid to question the teachings of his superiors. It was through his inquisitive mind he made a great discovery which saved a civilization.
