How about a 1D song featuring Justin Bieber? Biebs has befriended the band and is keen to work with them in the future. “The One Direction guys are great. We have a lot of fun whenever we hang out,” Justin says. “We were talking about me collaborating with them on a song on their next album. It’s gonna be great.” Fingers crossed the boys work together!

New Sound While the boys totally rock the world of pop, they are keen to introduce their fans to an edgier sound. “We want to take the next album into a different zone – more guitars and grungier,” Louis reveals. “We like the sound of a real guitar on tour, we beefed up the live show so now we want to take it onto the album.” Sounds good to us!

They’re calling in After writing the song Moments for the band’s first album, Ed Sheeran is helping 1D out with their second album. “I’m going into the studio in August to produce the tracks for them,” Ed explains. The band is even said to be keen on some songs Ed wrote when he was 17! Meanwhile, it seems Niall is keen to give 1D a new sound, hoping to collaborate with one of the world’s biggest rappers, Eminem. “Can you imagine One Direction and Eminem?!” he jokes. “That would be hilarious.”

Expect new hits close to their hearts That’s right! The boys are working on original songs about their lives. “We’re writing songs about being away from home, being away from girlfriends, that kind of thing,” Louis says. What a cutie! ❤ Louis’s first celebrity crush was Emma Watson. “We went to watch the first Harry Potter at school in Year 6 and literally all the lads fancied Hermione Granger,” he reveals.

A tough start… She’s 19-years-old, but Karise Eden has already had a tougher life than most. She spent her childhood as a shy foster child and lived in more than 20 refuges. Eventually she was fostered by a loving family who happened to own a music store and this was how Karise discovered her love for music. Her foster family introduced her to the guitar, and together they played at festivals and various venues. New beginnings… Little did Karise know that the day she decided to audition for Australia’s The Voice, would probably be one of the best decisions she ever made. After weeks of battling it out with other contestants, Karise was crowned the very first winner of Australia’s The Voice. “I had a really big journey from when I first walked into the auditions,” Karise said. “I never thought anything good like this would happen. I went through every single stage and looking back it feels so long ago, but it’s also gone really quickly. Seal and I just worked and worked to perform the best I can.” In taking out the prize, Karise won a $100,000 cash prize as well as a recording contract with Universal Music. So what next? “I don’t know!” she said. “I just want to relax and have fun and embrace it all and take it in.” Stay tuned folks! On auditioning for The Voice… “The public who voted for me, the support Australians have shown me, has made me realize my decision to come on this show was the right one!”

Brace yourselves Pink fans, because the singer’s record label has revealed that Pink will be releasing her sixth album this year! Her last album, Funhouse, was released in 2008 and since then Pink has toured the world and had her first baby, daughter Willow. Her new album will be called The Truth About Love, and not only can we not wait to hear it, but fingers crossed it also means that Pink will be touring Oz once again. Watch this space!

I was walking my dog down to the shops one afternoon, when he saw another dog across the road and suddenly started running down the street. I was texting at the time, so because I wasn’t paying attention I was caught off guard and my feet kind of jerked forward and I lost my balance and fell. So there I was lying flat on my stomach, still trying to hold onto the leash and yelling out “T-Bone, stop!” Everyone was staring and a man had to come over to help me. It was so embarrassing.

My best friend and I were going to the movies and were running late, so by the time we got our tickets and popcorn and went into the theatre, the lights were out. People were looking at us cause we were taking ages to find our seats, but when we finally found them I was so eager to sit down and stop causing such a scene, that I forgot to put my seat down before sitting. I let out a bit squeal as I landed on my butt on the floor and my popcorn had spilt everywhere. My bestie could not stop laughing which made it worse!

On Repeat

I had fallen asleep on the couch one day and my brother filmed me snoring and posted the clip on Facebook! He got over 20 likes in half an hour! I couldn’t get him to delete it and had to wait until mum got home hours later and get her to make him to take it off. But by then it was too late as pretty much everyone had seen it. He is so annoying and I am still so embarrassed by it!

I’m part of the school choir and we recently had to perform in front of the school. I was chosen to perform a solo and I was really excited, but when I got up on stage I froze and couldn’t remember the words. I managed to get through the first verse of my song, but panicked when it came to the second verse and just sang the first verse again. It was the worst moment ever!

Mind the Gap! I was on the train once with my older brother and some of our cousins and as we were exiting the train, I missed the platform and fell down the gap between the train and platform! Luckily my brother grabbed my arm just in time and pulled me back up, but the lady behind us let out a scream which made everyone turn and look, so everybody saw! I was so embarrassed and have not lived it down.

Celeb Whoa! Moment “I once dropped my microphone pack in the toilet! When we’re on set we have tiny microphones hidden inside our clothes and there’s a giant pack that goes in my back pocket. So then I had to use the restroom and it fell in the toilet! I had to tell someone it had happened and then they talked about it on their walkie-talkies and then everybody on set knew about it. It was quite embarrassing!”

Josh Hutcherson ANIMATION SENSATION Josh has been super busy since Hunger Games movie fever took over the world. He has lent his voice to an upcoming animated film called Epic, about a teenage girl transported to a magical land where she must work with the mythical creatures to help save their world. On his character, Nod, Josh says: “Nod has a lot of potential to be this great warrior and fight for mother nature, but he has a bit of an attitude problem that kind of holds him back. Throughout the story he sort of grows and learns how to change his attitude for the better.” Sounds good!

Liam is so in love with his fiancé, Miley Cyrus, that he sent fans into a frenzy recently by suggesting the pair had already secretly married! At a charity gala, Liam said he was already married to Miley, then quickly corrected himself. Liam says he feels super lucky to have met Miles during auditions for The Last Song. “I was fortunate enough to get called back in and read with my now-fiancee, who I recently got engaged to and we read together and fell in love and now we’re married... IG: What can we expect from your album? RICKI-LEE: “Well, just like my singles Raining Diamonds and Do It Like That the album is a really fun pop/dance album. It has big dance floor anthems that make you want to sing at the top of your lungs and dance! It’s a very positive and uplifting album that will inspire you to overcome your fears and anything that holds you back and just be free!” IG: Do you have any pre-performance rituals that you do? RICKI-LEE: “I have one rule - I must have twenty minutes completely on my own before I go on stage. That is my time to get in the zone and focus on what I’m about to do. In those twenty minutes, I touch up my make-up, warm up my

voice, stretch my body, run through the show in my head and visualise my performance. It’s very important for me to have that time otherwise I get flustered and nervous!” IG: You’ve come a long way since you competed on Australian Idol – if you could go back and give yourself a piece of advice, what would you tell yourself? RICKI-LEE: “I would tell myself to trust my gut. There were decisions I have made along the way that were influenced by other people’s opinions and I ignored my gut a lot of the time. The biggest thing I’ve learnt over the years is to trust myself.”

RICKI-LEE: “I visited the Maldives which is a small group of islands in the Indian Ocean with the most picturesque shade of turquoise blue water you’ve ever seen! It was absolutely amazing!” RICKI-LEE: What’s your must-have winter style item? IG: “A bright red trench coat! Winter can be very dark and gloomy, and I find that a pop of bright red always cheers me up on a miserable day!” 29

Next time you’re about to take a photo, have a look at what’s in the background. This is important as backgrounds can sometimes ruin a photo. For example, a great photo of your friend could be ruined if they’re standing in front of a pole, as it will look like the pole is growing out of their head! Always look around you and find the best background possible.

Have you ever taken a photo of someone and all you can see is their head and shoulders while above and beside them is a whole lot of nothing? When taking a photo, make sure your subject fills the frame. For instance, if you’re taking a photo of your dog, get in nice and close and make sure there is no wasted space around your pooch.

If it’s a sunny day, make sure that whoever you’re taking a photo of is standing side on to the sun. If they face the sun they’ll be squinting in the photo, and standing with their back to the sun will cause dark shadows. When taking a photo at night, or in dark areas always remember to use your flash.

Take lots of photos, whenever you can. Not only does practise make perfect, but the more photos you take, the more chance you have of getting the perfect shot. If you take 30 photos at your next party, there’ll be a good chance that at least half of those will be great shots that you can print and put in an album or frame.
