Green Ridge Physical Therapy & Wellness
Jordan Barber is the newest member of the Green Ridge Physical Therapy team, having joined the practice in May 2023.
He works with patients with all kinds of needs, but says he has a par ticular passion for helping those with neurological deficits, such as those who h ave suffered stroke. Helping people return to the things they l ove to do is deeply sa tisf ying to the physical therapist
Barber ’s approach to physical therapy is “strength first.” Whatever we need to do in life, its impor ta nt to build — or rebuild —
the strength to do it. Jo rdan no te s tha t “strength is not purely how much weight y ou c an lift up and put down. Feeling strong is also a mental state.”
The ph ysical therapist l ove s w orking with people on an individualized basis to help instill a sense of confidence, resilience, and capacit y.
“It really is life changing,” he says.
Barber s aid he fell in love with the area and the quiet of the mountains when he visited Sisters, and he is ve ry glad to be par t of the Green Ridge team.

Central Woof & Groom
As the chill of winter descends, it gets harder to make sure our beloved dogs get all the exercise they need. It’s not as fun to go for a walk when it’s cold — and it c an be really sketchy when it gets wet and icy.
Ce n tral Woof & Gr oom offers a sa fe space where your pet c an shake off some of that exc e ss energy, and get the social time dogs love
“We have a big inside area that’s heated by a fireplace, so it’s nice and warm,” says owner/operator Calvin Hasse
Hasse re minds dog owners that “if it ’s
too cold outside for y ou, it’s too cold fo r your dog.” He also notes that it’s par ticularly impor ta nt to ta ke ca re of your dog’s f eet in the win te r, e specially their nails, since they don’t get as much natural wear
Your dog will need a bath, even in the winter time. Ask about a special play-andbath discount fo r those who come in fo r doggie day care
Our dogs ar e s ocial cr eatures — giving them time with other dogs is the best thing we c an do for them, and it makes life easier and calmer fo r us.
