Deanna B. Hiott MSN, RN

I completed an M.S.N. with a major in Nursing Education to prepare for a career in teaching and research. I enjoy instructing students and finding creative ways to engage them in the classroom and clinical environments. In addition to working on research at the Center for Pediatric Medicine with the Greenville Hospital System, I presently teach full-time at the University of South Carolina Upstate. I have developed two nursing wikis to be used with the pediatric students and fundamental students. I have also created and maintain two blogs for personal and professional purposes. I am very computer oriented. I am an organized hard worker with a talent for initiating and completing exciting changes that disseminate knowledge and improve working conditions. I desire to continue my education to the doctoral level to generate new knowledge through research that enlightens educators, impassions students and helps better the lives of South Carolinians.
