BISMARCK LED IP54 RECESSED LUMINAIRE INSTRUCTIONS

SAFETY This is amains powered product. It is designed to be installed by suitably qualified personnelonly and in accordance with theapplicable buildingand electrical regulations. Beforeinstallation ormaintenancetheelectricalsupply to the product must be isolated.

Whenreporting a suspected fault or seekinginstallationsupport theproblem is likely tobe resolved most quickly if you have full product details to-hand, as well as details of when and where it was purchased.

INSTALLATION

1. Pass mainssupply cabledown through thechosen apertureinsuspended ceilinggrid.

2. Disconnect the driver unit from theLED panelviatheplug & socketconnectors.

3. Route themains supply cabletoappropriate connection points on the driver unit terminate, ensuringcorrect polarity is observed.

4. Refit theconnectioncover(s) ontothe driver unit, ensuringthe cables aresuitably restrained. The restraint is provided by the connectioncover& adjustments can be made to suitvarious sizecables.

5. Install the driver & luminaire body into theceiling. This product can be fitted to some“pull-up” concealed-fix grid systems (please check compatibility), plasterboardceilings & standard “lay-in” 15mm/24mm T-bar grid systems. Theseinstallations providean IP54 rating for thefront faceof theluminaire only.

6. Offerthe panel uptothe aperture& remake theconnection tothedriver.

7. Lift the panel up throughthe aperture & then lay inposition ontheceiling grid.

Note! The back of the panel & thecontrol gear should not becovered in any way as it may affect performance& lifetime

8. Reconnect power supply & check for correct operation.

Note! Luminaires fitted with electronic drivers are exempt frominsulation resistancetests as this willcause damage to the electronic components.

For PULL-UP installationtoconcealed-fix gridsystems & plasterboard ceilings:

i. If installingto plasterboard then recommended cutout sizeis as shown in theline diagram

ii. Pass the driver unit through the aperture & locate in asuitably ventilated area toensure prolonged life.

iii. Removethe front diffusercover assembly to allowaccess tothesidearm bracketscrew heads.

iv. Offer the luminaire body totheaperture & then push theluminaire body fully up intothe aperture.

v. Using a pozi-drivescrewdriver, turn thefour individual screw heads located onthefront flange of the luminaire body ‘clockwise’, to operatetheside arm brackets. On thefirst turn, the brackets will swing out tosupport the luminaire body, & then keepturningtofully raise& secure.

vi. Refit thefront coverdiffuserassembly andsecure inplace.

For LAY-INinstallationto T-Bar grid systems (Note: the diffuserframe will still needtofit from below):

i. Pass the driver unit throughthe aperture & locate in asuitably ventilated area toensure prolonged life.

ii. Pass the luminairethrough the aperture & then lay into position. Useof thesuspension brackets is optional to provide extrasupport.

NOTE! It isthe responsibility ofthe installer to ensuretheIP54 ratingismaintained.

MAINTENANCE

1. Cleaning should becarried out at regular intervals so as not impair photometric performance or thermalsafety of theluminaire.
