DALLAS LED SURFACE / SUSPENDED LUMINAIRE INSTRUCTIONS

THANK YOU for buying this product. To help ensure it gives complete satisfaction please installit accordingto these instructions and then pass the instructions to the appropriate person for retention and future reference.
SAFETY This is a mains powered product. It is designed to be installed by suitably qualified personnel only and in accordance with the applicablebuildingand electrical regulations. Before installation ormaintenance the electrical supply to the product must be isolated.

When reportinga suspected faultor seeking installation support the problem is likely to be resolved most quickly if you have full product details to-hand as well as details of when and where it was purchased.
INSTALLATION
Surface Mounting:
1. Unclipthe mounting plate from themain body by using asuitablescrewdriver to pushthe recessed release buttons on theside of theluminaireas shown above.
2. Removethe mounting plate for ease of installation by unclippingfrom retainingstraps and disconnecting 3way pushfit mains connector.
3. The mountingplateis pierced toprovide 2-off oblongfixing points along the centre line of themounting plate dimensions shown.
4. Offerthemounting plate to thechosen mountingsurface, passing the mains supply cablethroughthe appropriate cable entry point.
5. Securely fix themounting plateinposition.
6. Route themains supply cabletothe terminal block & terminate ensuring correct polarity is observed.
7. Offerthemain body to themounting plate:
a. Reconnect thesnap hooks of theretainingstraps.
b. Reconnect the3 way pushfit mains connector.
c. Securely clipthe main body into position
WARNING: THIS LUMINAIREMUST BE EARTHED
8. Reconnect power supply &check for correct operation. Note! Luminaires fitted with electronic drivers are exempt from insulation resistance tests as this may causedamage to the driver.
Wire Suspension:
1. This will requirethe wire suspension kit, whichissupplied as standard with bi-directionalversions -Suffix… /BD/.. and optional extra onthe downlight versions- Suffix…/DO/…, somust be ordered separately (Order code: NDL/WSK).
2. Separate instructions aresuppliedwiththe kit todetailtheinstallation of the wire suspension.
Multi-connection (linked) Installations: See instructions below
MAINTENANCE
1. Cleaning should becarried out at regular intervals so as not impair photometric performance or thermalsafety of theluminaire.
Multi-Connection (Linked) Installations:
Joining Connectors & Couplers(*) as shown below:
Suffix …/O/… Opal Diffuser Versions & Suffix …/R/… Reflector Versions
* Mounting Plate Couplers come as part of the above kits
1. The Dallas Luminaireis designed to be linked using thevarious kit accessories asshown above(to be ordered separately).
2. All of the abovekits comewith required number straight joining brackets, couplers andscrews.
3. Joining bracket installationis shown below inFig 1. and is applicableto allvariants:
Alignthe joiningbrackets withtheapertures inthe luminaires, i. Pushinto placesothe screw holes areclearly visible
Securethe joiningbracket in placeby useof the 4 off M3x8 pozi-panhead thread forming screws supplied.
Repeat the abovesteps as required to suit thetype of linkedsolution.
4. The Straight coupler installationisas shown inFig 2. and applicablewhere straight linked runs are required
Alignthecoupler tothemountingplate holes
Secure inplace by using the 4 offM3x6 pozi-pan headscrews
Couplers come with Suspensionkit fixingpoints
Repeat the abovesteps as required.
5. The Installation of the L (Fig 3.), T(Fig 4.) & X (Fig 5.)couplers are as shown
Alignthecoupler tothemountingplate holes
Secure inplace using the2 off M3x6 pozi-pan head screws at eachluminaire junction point to suit
Couplers come with Suspensionkit fixingpoints
Repeat the abovesteps as required.
6. Blank Spacers (suppliedcompletewithstraight couplingkits on bothends) available in4Ft and 5Ft for both theopal and reflector versions. See Fig 6.
Follow theinstallation instructions for thejoining bracket & straightcoupler as insteps 3& 4. above.
