JEREMY AND I ARE BOTH NORTHWEST ARKANSAS TRANSPLANTS.
Jeremy hails from Boston while I am a born and raised Seattle girl (go hawks!). Our worlds collided in the summer of 2018 while I was hosting an event to support cystic fibrosis. Meanwhile, my future husband was supporting Dickson street’s small business owners via his bar tab (which led to karaoke). I knew I met the man of my dreams when I saw him stomp down the stairs singing Elton John’s, “Bennie and the Jets” at the top of his lungs. After a year of traveling across 15 states and a few countries in Europe, we both knew we had met our travel and life companion. The day before Thanksgiving in New York City, Jeremy proposed to me at the River Café. The next morning at 4 AM, I drug him to the Macy’s Day Parade where we sat in the front row, celebrating how thankful we were.

ning! We also loved that the bridesmaids could stay at the venue the night before, making for a wonderful sleepover on my last night as a single lady!
For our wedding and reception, we chose Kindred Barn in Mulberry because of how open and bright the venue is. We loved how it represented a new beginning for the both of us. We even had a full pink moon shining over us in the eve-
Our aesthetic theme was southern bohemian, but our main theme was a big celebration. We implemented little pieces of our personalities throughout the night, including Seahawks and Patriots cornhole on the lawn and foam heads in the photobooth. I always imagined my wedding having a long head table with all our closest friends and that’s exactly what was brought to life. We had a head table of 20! Some of the tables were even danced on by the end of the evening.
ur nine-month engagement wasn’t what we planned or how anyone else planned to spend 2020 for that matter, but it proved to be a defining year for our relationship. Through all the twists & turns of planning a wedding during a pandemic, we had the most incredible celebration thanks to our amazing wedding vendors.
Jeremy and I both have two sets of parents, and we were blessed to have had all 8 parents at the wedding. We don’t know when we’ll ever have so many of our loved ones under one roof again. One of the most memorable moments of the night was when Jeremy was tapped on the shoulder with a micro-

phone. He then did his best Elton John impersonation, coming full circle from the night we met when he belted that same song to me at the karaoke bar. 2020 wasn’t the best year, but it’s safe to say that the best day of our lives was September 12, 2020.
