BUILDING OFFICIAL The City of Des Plaines is seeking highly motivated candidates to be our next Building Official in the Community & Economic Development Department. This position is responsible for the successful management of the Building, Permitting & Inspections processes of the Department. The incumbent in this position manages the staff assigned to these areas of the Department and is responsible for achieving the performance goals set forth by the Director. The minimum qualifications a candidate needs to be considered for this position include a Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, planning or a related field; 10 years of experience in a related field; management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform and complete the responsibilities assigned to the position. The starting annual salary for this position is between $95,920 - $105,000.
