Letter From the President Hello Hawks, I am sad to inform you that Jazmyn will not be our News Editor anymore due to her

moving! It was so great to have her on board and to read her newsletter, she did a great job and I hope that all of you wish her luck at her new school and hopefully she will join Key Club there too. We will miss you so much Jazmyn. In other news, remember that service doesn't stop over summer so remember to keep doing service. Whether it be through our club or your individual service. I know I haven't stopped the service over summer. I have volunteered at Mud Volley for Epilepsy here in Dayton, Ohio and I have volunteered at the local church for Vacation Bible School and I was able to be a Pre-School Leader. If you would like volunteer don't forget we have plenty of Three Square Events coming up! Sign up and have fun! Did you miss the July DCM? Well never fear there will be one is August. I hope you are all looking forward to going back to school and attending the first Key Club meeting of the year. Well enjoy the rest of your summer and remember SERVICE CONTINUES THROUFHOUT THE WHOLE YEAR!

“Imagine your child’s classroom: thirty children, and fifteen of them are hungry. 58% of children in the Clark County School District are enrolled in free and reduced-price meal programs based on their family income. That’s more than half of the kids facing hunger at home and coming to school unprepared to learn.”

Individual Service

This summer In Ohio I had the opportunity to volunteer at Mud Volley Ball for Epilepsy as well as being a Preschool Leader at VBS! It was great helping out at mud volley ball and its such a cool event. This year I helped check coolers and last year I made the mud on the courts. They raised so much money for epilepsy I was happy I was apart of making the event happen. I always love volunteering at VBS. VBS is Vacation Bible School and this years theme was Weird Animals. This year I was able to be a preschool leader again and I got some of the kids I got last year. It is great to spend five days with preschoolers and to watch them learn and play. VBS is one of the most rewarding volunteer events I have been to because I love working with the kids.
