Working closely with our club treasurer and secretary, the Fundraising Committee will be coming up with ways to help raise money for our club.
{Service Committee}
With many different service opportunities here in Las Vegas, the Service Committee will be finding events for our club to attend.

Hey Hawks!
president
We still have much to look forward to in this upcoming month! After we elect the Service and Fundraiser committee chairs, expect many opportunities to serve and give back to your community! The DCM for the month of November will have a special surprise and for December we will be hosting it! We also have Relay for Life Kickoff, our Induction Banquet, and the Santa Run! We're in the season of family time, but I hope everyone is able to find a chance to volunteer.

I’m extremely happy to see many of our members participating in service events, let’s keep this up! The holiday season is here, and I’m super excited for the service events our club will be attending. Lately I’ve been working on a couple designs for club t-shirts and hoodies! Be on the lookout for some NWCTA Key Club merchandise coming your way! Remember to continue attending service events and be sure to write me an article on your experience, as well as sending in any pictures you took at the event. I hope you all enjoy your Thanksgiving break. Keep serving!

HAUNTED HARVEST Gianna Coloma | Event Chair This year's Haunted Harvest event was amazing! NWCTA Key Club was able to volunteer at many stations such as game booths and the prize station. So many of our members came, we were one of their biggest clubs that came to volunteer! Everyone had a great time volunteering, seeing this year's adorable costumes and taking pictures with friends. I can't wait for next year's Haunted Harvest!
Ryan Santiago | Sophomore Haunted Harvest is always a blast! It warms my heart to be able to see the children in their unique costumes excited about the activities springs preserve has to offer. There were a few bumps in terms of keeping our station organized, but by working as a team, we we are able to get the job done! So far, my second year here was personally the best; with an overload of funnel cakes and many laughs with new friends, Haunted Harvest is for sure to be a wonderful experience!
Light the Night
Alexander Velazco | Freshman My Light the Night experience, hmm? Where do I start! Well, I guess you can say the night was pretty lit, figuratively and literally. It was very heartwarming to see all the lights light up at once. You see, I too was a victim to leukemia as well, just a few years back in the fifth grade I lost my music teacher to this illness. To see that people from everywhere can come to together to raise awareness so that maybe one day, no one will have to fall, is very heart warming and I truly believe that it can be stopped once and for all. "The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step." And we all took that first step at the Light the Night together. I truly recommend this walk to anybody, whether they've been affected directly or indirectly, or even if you want to support it for the future. It was beautiful, and I loved the walk.
Kevin Wu | Freshman My experience at the Light the Night Walk was very memorable. I think that the event was well organized and it felt safe. My role at the event was to help hand out the food to the donors. I enjoyed helping out by helping to hand out the food at the Firehouse Subs tent. The participants were very kind and I would love to go and volunteer again next year.
Ricardo Bonvicin | Freshman The light the night walk was an amazing experience I had. I am so glad I came. I got hang out with my friends and eat great food. There were also a lot of great organizations that were there too. Most importantly though, I got to help and set up a great walk. It was very heart moving that so many people were walking to end Leukemia and lymphoma and honor the ones that were taken by it. I am glad that I was part of an amazing walk to help make a difference to cancer and end it.
Brianna Abagat | Event Chair Lung Force this year had a great turnout for an event that was last minute! I enjoyed seeing all those who attended the event with big smiles on their faces. Everyone was so positive and vibrant! Thank you to those who volunteered!
Kyle Monato | Junior On Saturday, November 12, 2016, I volunteered at the Lung Force Walk. As I walked into the event area, I was filled with the sense of community. There was children amuck and adults all around. Turquoise was the main color theme, and there was plenty of it. I got Pom Poms to help me cheer the people on as they walked. The funniest moment, I believe, was when one of the walkers started chanting with us our superstar cheer. S...U-P-E-R, SUPERSTAR THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE! This day was filled with joy, laughter, and of course, Canes and hot dogs.
Jana Alindog | Senior On November 12th, I attended my first and last FRS! Meeting and befriending different key clubbers from many divisions was an amazing and unforgettable experience. It was crazy to see hundreds of other individuals who have the same passion and spirit just as I do towards Key Club. The free hugs, spirit battles, cheering, and great vibes made me realize how much more in love I am with this organization. The ridiculous long lines and even more ridiculous food prices at FRS was all worth it. An even greater feeling was knowing that our division, D28W, won the FRS spirit stick! WE'RE NOT TAKING ANY L's IN KEY CLUB THIS YEAR Y'ALL (first we win RTC and now FRS, boii lemme tell you.) The dedication and spirit our division showed at FRS was wild; and it's amazing watching how our hard work paid off. Just like how I felt towards RTC, it's all bittersweet. Knowing that I'm off to college in a few months and that I'm eventually going to have to stop doing key club is heart breaking and makes me so depressed (ugh) But service and spirit never dies! I absolutely love being a part of Key Club; this club has completed my high school experience. I can't wait for our future events and continue to make great memories with the people I love to be with. I encourage everyone to attend not just fall rally, but every event and volunteering opportunity; you will honestly not regret a single moment. Congrats D28W seamonkeys! Y'all deserved that W!
Fall Rally
Victor Delacruz | President
My second and final Fall Rally South as a Key Clubber. I was fortunate enough to spend it with Jana Alindog! We were driven by my Grandparents and had a blast. We had lots of fun- tutus and ears were provided. (Shoutout to the best LTG I've had the privilege to serve, Justin Zhou, as well as the DLT) We cheered our hearts out; bought overpriced food and Key Club merch; and barely rode any rides because of how amazing Fall Rally is. Being surrounded by spirited Key Clubbers, free hug signs, and the division that is your family is no doubt the best feeling of inclusiveness a Key Clubber can feel. We took home the spirit stick and raised thousands of dollars for Pediatric Trauma Program. Region Training Conference cannot compare to how great Fall Rally South was. Unfortunately, Northwest was unable to attend this year, but I believe that everyone will definitely have as much fun as I did next year.
