We got spirit yes we do but this time let’s mix in some holiday spirit too! As the year comes to an end, myself and my fellow key club members say goodbye to some amazing key club memories. One of these being Fall Rally South (FRS). Earlier in November our club was lucky enough to attend Fall Rally South this year. Even luckier was one of our members who won a FRS Scholarship that was offered to her by the club I️ serve. At FRS we not only enjoyed the funnel cakes, rides, and new friendships, but we also raised so much money for PTP! As my first and last time going to FRS, I️ know I’ll never forget the moment our division advanced to top seven and the great cause we all served that day. Other events include community services at our very own school and Three Square. All these memories and events were showcased at our recent potluck Winter I️nduction Banquet. I️’m so proud to have inducted over 100 happy key club members! We have (sadly) now reached the midpoint of the key club year and the end of 2017. For the remainder of the term and for the new year I️ hope to help more members find a joy in serving our community and train new board members. Happy Holidays and New Year. Stay safe <3
With the Events of this year ending, that only means for new beginnings next year! I cannot wait to train new board members to serve our club and our community. In this Newsletter, I was happy to see the memories brought by my club at FRS and during our Winter Banquet!
Andres Alvarez / Chair The process of the Banquet was a very tedious process, as time constraint was a huge issue. Overall, with the time constraint being an issue, we were still able to pull off a successful banquet. The experience was fun, and I had a lot of fun planning it, even though it included some stress, I still enjoyed the planning aspect and the Banquet itself as well.
Imarion Hudson / Freshman The process of the setup was very busy but with the time we had, it turned out to be very successful. My experience was amazing, I feel that we did a great job. I would give the whole banquet 100% in my opinion.
FALL RALLY Jayden Curameng | D28W Spirit Coordinator My first and last FRS was such a bittersweet experience. Spending the day screaming my lungs out, shouting cheers, and facing my biggest fear (heights!) was completely worth it because I was surrounded by people I love. Serving on the Division 28 West Spirit Committee was an honor, especially knowing the cheer I made got us into the Top 7 of our spirit session! The committee was also a great opportunity for me to create a bond with the DLT and other division spirit coordinators, and I️’m thankful that Ritchie chose me to be a part of it. I absolutely LOVE being a Division 28 West moon with all my heart, and I was so happy to be around people who feel the same way. Although I️’m sad that this was my first and last FRS, I can positively look back at this event as one of the biggest highlights of my Key Club journey.

Fall Rally South is a district wide event I was glad to be a part of. Those who attended Fall Rally South were given the opportunity to fundraise for PTP and save babies, which was honestly the most fulfilling part of the experience. Moreover, I was able to expand my horizons and meet amazing people I would've never come across if it hadn't been for FRS; I would jump at the chance to do it all again.
Victoriano Aguazul FRS was such an amazing experience, knowing that attending the event not only benefited myself, but many of my peers as well! It provided me with such a greater meaning of what Key Club really is and to be able to see that many people feel the same way as I do, worldwide, was such a surreal moment. I will forever cherish every minute of FRS and hope many will as well!
