FROM THE EDITOR I hope everyone enjoys this month’s newsletter, as it has been a blast making it. So far October has been an amazing month, with RTC around the corner and fall rally after that. For any questions comments or concerns feel free to contact me!Natalie Valenzuela

FROM THE PRESIDENT Hello everyone! October is quite the busy month with back to back service events and it’s RTC season!! I always appreciate the full effort all the members are putting in and it just makes me so happy to see everyone come together. Whether it’s during preps, at service events, or just meeting, you guys never fail to put a smile on my face. I’m ready to go to RTC with a positive mindset and have the time of our lives. Being that this is my last RTC, I want nothing but good memories to come out of AvataRTC. I can’t wait for more events to come up and to keep the key club spirit alive for the entire year. I couldn’t have asked for a better club to serve.- leah Mazzola

National night out October 2, 2018 The National night out service event was really fun and cool to attend. I started off leaning how to make balloon dogs, flowers, and swords with the other volunteers. Once we finished with our balloon creation we then gave them out to little kids. Later on in the day I shifted to face painting while the others continued with their ballon creations. Overall it was a really great experience because nit only did I get to see a lot of people from the neighborhood come out to the event but I also met some cool fellow Key Clubbers as well. - Ashley Gonzalez

During national night out a bunch of us gathered at a booth around a park. We first went around helping other booths set up their stations. When the visitors and kids started coming in, we made balloon animals and swords and gave them out. After almost every kid had no more room for balloons we all took a break and got free hot dogs, chips, soda, and cotton candy. Most of us didn’t know each other but we all got to talking and got along really well. We also went and checked out other booths and we went inside the back of an ambulance. It was a really fun, giving experience and I am looking for to the event next year. Samantha Ruiz

Homecoming decoration night October 5, 2018 I was glad to be a part of homecoming decorations because not only was it a lot of fun, but I got to help my school as well. I was given many duties but it all seemed to fly by quickly because I was having so much fun working with friends and schoolmates I usually don't see often. While hanging up the senior name tags, my friends and I jammed out to Big Time Rush and One Direction songs. That's what made the event so fun, serving our school while having fun at the same time.- alyssa wantanabe

Hoco decorations was so fun, I got to spend lots of time with the senior class and my friends making and putting up decorations. I would really recommend anyone to come to this event in future years. It’s a fun way to spend time with friends, meet new people, and decorate your school! - Sandy parades
