Editor THE Happy September Hawks! Back to school jitters are finally calming down, and I hope everyone is settled! As a formal introduction, my name is Rea Sayas (ree-uhh sigh-yus), and I am a current senior. I was our club’s last years editor and I’m excited to serve another term! Just to remind everyone, I’m always excepting articles and visuals. Have an amazing month hawks! ♡

Name: Diarra Morgan Position: Vice President Age: 17 Height: 5'9" Likes: roller coasters, money, watches, food, sleep Dislikes: people, homework, teachers, guacamole, pens that smear Personality: always smiling/laughing, sarcastic, mean (sometimes LIKE 2% of the time)

Name: Ripneet Brar Position: Secretary Age: 16.7 years old Height: 5'6" ish I think Likes: Clocks, Watches, Wasting time, Hiking, Plants, Water, and Architecture Dislikes: Wasting time, Country Music, and Pens that smear Personality: Sarcastic (sometimes), Friendly (a good majority of the time), Funny (all the time)

Name: Melanie Garcia Age: 17 Position: Treasurer & Certified Dancing Queen Likes: the movie White Chicks, samples at Costco, music, rainy weather, small & chubby animals Dislikes: anything that's small & crawls, brussel sprouts, and unexplained noises at night Personality: Motivated and loyal like a golden retriever and enjoys helping people through the power of memes and singing.

Personality: bubbly, sociable, sarcastic but in a good way, silly goose, open minded, SILLY GOOSE, and outgoing

Name: Alexandra Acosta Position: Freshman Representative Get to know me! Hi! My name is Alexandra, but I prefer to be called Alex. I’m a 9th grader attending Northwest Career and Technical Academy with the program area of Biomedical. I applied to Northwest Career because I heard it was an amazing school and that it gave the student body various opportunities to make their high school experience the best. Some things you should know about me are, I really enjoy those painfully awkward puns and pickup lines, I have a vast knowledge of things that will never help me in life, I love romantic animes, and I enjoy making people happy!

“Freshest” Freshman ALEXANDRA ACOSTA | FRESHMAN REP “The commencement of my interest for Key Club developed due to peer pressure. At first glimpse of Key Club during Freshmen Orientation, I was slightly confused. Partially due to the fact that I thought they made keys, which when I think back to that very moment today, I laugh really hard. So I kind of decided to stay away. However, three weeks into being a Freshmen my best friend, Ryan Santiago, convinced me to join, for just one meeting that is. So on the following Thursday, with sweaty clothes and horrible hair I walked into the cafeteria searching for my friends. Which I eventually found. Then the president started talking, at first I was pretty disinterested, but the more and more she talked I became intrigued. At one point in the meeting we began to discuss the election of Freshmen Representative which I was informed about earlier. Moral of that day was not to be shy but to grab the bull by the horns and like Shia Labeouf once respectively said, “Just do it!” I became freshman representative without a clue of what Key club was. But as I witness the humble personalities of the board members, the awkward excitement of the general members, and the memory making experiences that the activities have provided so far, I realized that the club which I still don’t know how to participate in as rep, is very delightful, as well as beneficial to my future. I am very excited to experience the memories that will be created as a volunteer for Key Club International.”
RYAN SANTIAGO “Curiosity has been the foundation of my initiation with Key Club. As a new member, I've always been told in the past how the mass amounts of Asians are prevalent (my #1 reason to join to be honest). However, I was also interested in volunteer work. As of now, I am still gaining knowledge about the goal of this club as well as the effect it can positively do to my future. Key Club International has a myriad of chants leading to my absolute confusion, but it does seem to leave an enjoyable experience!
