Professionals

Directory 2023/2024

What is ISP?

The Northwest Florida State College (“NWF State College” or “College”) Institute for Senior Professionals (ISP) is an independent organization which functions under the auspices of the College. Upon request from government and not-for-profit organizations within the OkaloosaWalton County area, ISP provides problem solving, strategic planning, and other advisory services voluntarily performed by substantially retired persons without charge.

A message from the College President... Devin Stephenson President, Northwest Florida State College Email: dstephenson@nwfsc.edu

NWF State College established the Institute for Senior Professionals (ISP) almost 32 years ago. The membership of this organization is made up of retired and semi-retired citizens who have a desire to provide pro bono professional services for projects associated with local governments and non-profit organizations. The diverse background of these individuals allows ISP to contribute their voluntary advisory assistance to a wide range of projects that include education, economic development, charitable causes, public welfare and government. By using their individual knowledge and skills acquired during their public and private careers, members continue to contribute to the community through their affiliation with ISP. To better understand their role and impact on our area, past studies and reports can be reviewed on their website at www.nwfsc.edu/isp. The members of ISP meet on a regular basis. These meetings give them the opportunity to exchange ideas, review requests for assistance, hear task force progress reports, and learn from invited speakers from various entities on subjects of current interest. It is the intent of the organization to focus on issues that affect our community and improve the quality of life for this region. By working with members of our communities, college faculty and staff, they bring together a vast range of collective wisdom to enhance and support their projects. Membership in the ISP is by invitation only. I encourage anyone who is willing to support the ISP mission to consider it for long-term stimulation, mutual reward and personal satisfaction.
