About the Cast Grant Oberle – Jesus Grant is a 2018 graduate of Fort Walton Beach High School where he found his discovered his love for performance. In the past three years, he has taken on numerous roles at local theatres, including Hines in The Pajama Game, Lenny in Rumors, and Hecht in Moonlight and Magnolias. He is very excited for his first show with Northwest Florida State College, and he would like to thank the entire cast, crew, and production staff for their crazy talent and dedication. He would also like to specially thank his friends Taylor and Madison for encouraging him to audition; his high school theatre teacher, Christa Whittaker, for shaping him as an actor and person; and his family for their endless support.
Frederick “Ricky” Kozak – Judas Ricky has finished his freshman year here at Northwest Florida State College and is making his acting debut. Ricky is an alumna of the Niceville HS Choral program and
is currently a member of The Voices of Northwest Florida. He is very excited about this new and challenging opportunity and because of this experience, plans on continuing his theatre journey. He would like to thank the theatre department for making his first show enjoyable and for being so welcoming. Lastly, to quote the Waterboy, he loves his momma!
Chloe Grubbs – Mary Magdalene Chloe has just finished her senior year at Collegiate High School and her first year as a member of The Voices of Northwest Florida. In the future, she hopes to take her passion for acting, dancing, and music to Broadway. She would like to thank everyone who worked in the show for teaching and inspiring her. She would also like to personally thank her grandparents, the Dethloff’s, her godparents, and Cakes. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Cast Bios - continued Madison Smith – King Herod Madison is excited to be performing her third show at Northwest Florida State College, she would like to thank her friends and family who have been an amazing support system through this process, her mom for instilling the love of theatre in her, and most importantly her baby boy, who has been patiently waiting for this process to be over so that mommy can start tucking him into bed again.
Christopher Pecore – Caiaphas Christopher is making his musical theatre debut; however, he is no stranger to singing on this stage. He has been a member of the Northwest Florida Symphony Chorale for several years. He wants to thank his wife, Khristine, for all her support through the long hours of rehearsal it has taken to make this production happen. She has been his biggest fan.

Cody Longshore – Peter Cody appeared in his theatrical debut as Patsy in a 2017 production of Spamalot. He has also been a part of the ensemble in The Little Mermaid, A Chorus Line, as well as a featured ensemble role in Footloose as Coach Dunbar. He has modeled for brands such as Nike, Abercrombie & Fitch, and most recently Columbia Sportswear. He is extremely grateful for the opportunity to take on the role of Peter in Jesus Christ Superstar and is incredibly excited to share the stage with such a talented cast and crew! Cody dedicates this performance to his daughter Elayna Grace!
Ariana Ellis - Simon
David’s first performance on this campus was in 1979. He was last seen in the choir of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. He’s performed with several local theatre and musical groups and is just so proud to be here. He extends a thank you to the village that is making this show happen – including you, our audience.
Ariana is very excited to be joining the cast of JCS. The last time you saw Ariana she was playing Rusty in Footloose back in 2019. She has been doing the summer musical at NWFSC for the past 4 years and she’s never enjoyed herself more than when she’s dancing and singing with her friends. She would like to thank 2020 for showing her that she is unstoppable!

Gina is thrilled to be returning to The Mattie Kelly Arts Center Mainstage for the 2021 summer musical. Jesus Christ Superstar is her fourth consecutive production with NWFSC. She is particularly happy to be once again playing alongside her daughter, Arin Walker. Her previous roles include: Sister Mary “Laz” Lazarus in Sister Act, Madame in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Ethel McCormack in Footloose. Gina is a member of the NWFSC Symphony Chorale as well as lead vocalist for The Downbeat Jazz Orchestra, premier Big Band on the Emerald Coast for 16 years. She would like
Charlie is a junior and an active member of the theatre department at Niceville High School. She has been previously cast in seven productions including: Clue!, Tarzan, and She Loves Me. On top of theatre, she sings as a member of Niceville’s Opus One. She wants to thank and send her love to her family and friends. She appreciates everyone for their support.

She’s recently been awarded a 2021-2022 Fine Arts Scholarship in Voice. She is grateful for the opportunity to work among such talented artists and to have such a supportive husband and family, all of whom have encouraged her to reach for the stars in pursuit of her dreams.
Kirk Newbold - Apostle Kirk is so excited to be performing again on the Mattie Kelly Arts Center Mainstage for the 2021 summer musical! His previous productions at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center include Footloose and Dance Facets 2021. Kirk is extremely grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Jesus Christ Superstar and work with such talented people. He would also like to thank his family for their love and support.
Jacob Edwards - Apostle Jacob is a singer and songwriter. This will be his first musical on the Mattie Kelly Arts Center Mainstage. He has enjoyed working with the cast and crew, and loves sharing his love of theatre with everyone.
Mary Kate Cary - Apostle Mary Kate has performed in Northwest Florida State College productions for the last six years. Some of her favorite rolls include ensemble in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Wendy jo in Footloose, & Ember in Sword Against the Sea. She currently is a student at Florida State University pursuing a major in Music with special studies in Music Entrepreneurship and a minor in business. She would like to thank the cast and crew for their hard work as well as her friends and family for all their support.
Rajah Pound - Apostle/Soul Girl Rajah is a current fine arts scholarship recipient at Northwest Florida State College, and a founding member of the Voices of
NWF. Her previous shows include The Little Mermaid, The Crucible, Fame Jr., and Tarzan. Going forward, she hopes to receive her bachelor’s degree in Musical Theatre and Interdisciplinary Humanities with an emphasis in Arts Administration.
Tina Barron - Apostle Tina is thrilled to be back onstage at Northwest Florida State College. She currently teaches and coaches at Ruckel Middle School. She also performs as a company member of the Storyhouse Theatre and a member of the NWF Symphony Chorale. Tina studied musical theatre at AMDA, NYC. Her most recent shows have been Footloose, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Moonlight and Magnolias, and Christmas Wish. In her spare time, she enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her family. Tina is grateful for the love and support of her friends and family and wishes to thank the directors and cast for this privilege. Hebrews 10:24
Arin Walker - Apostle/Soul Girl Arin Walker, a Northwest Florida State College Alumni, is very excited to return to the stage for the first time since graduating from University of West Florida with her BFA in Musical Theatre. Her favorite previous roles include: Sister Mary Robert in Sister Act, Lizzie in Baby, and Philia in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. She feels very blessed to share the stage once again with her mother, Gina Walker, as well as with this outstanding cast. Arin would like to thank her dad for his continuous support.
Melissa Raulerson - Apostle Melissa Raulerson is a Veteran & current Military Spouse who has been involved in theatre since she was young. Some of her favorite roles include Amanda from the Glass Menagerie & Titania in a Midsummer Night’s

Azhia Ellis - Soul Girl/Old Man/Leper Azhia, a former Northwest Florida State College student, is very grateful to be joining the cast of Jesus Christ Superstar this summer. She is no stranger to the Mattie Kelly Arts Center mainstage. The last time you saw Azhia she was playing Urleen in Footloose. Azhia brings a bubbly energy to rehearsals and missed sharing that spirit with her cast. She would like to thank her mom, dad, and boyfriend Shón for always pushing her to dream big!
Jordan Bell - Ensemble Jordan Bell is a Northwest Florida State College Fine Arts Scholarship recipient, pursuing a theater major. This will be his first show with the college, and he is so thankful for the experience and opportunity. He thanks everyone involved for the fantastic experience!
Cassandra Christ - Ensemble Cassandra has been in many shows throughout her life, singing and dancing form a young age, and this is her first performance with Northwest Florida State College. She has performed all throughout high school and has participated in many thespian festivals. Some of her favorite roles include Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls Jr. and Marcy Park in the 25th Annual Putnam Country Spelling Bee. She would like to thank her family for being her greatest supporters and always believing in her.
Christa Cloutier - Maid by the Fire/Leper Christa is delighted to be returning to the main stage at Mattie Kelly Arts Center for NWFSC’s summer production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Her previous Mattie Kelly Arts Center productions include Footloose, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, A Christmas Carol, and Sister Act. She also

sings regularly with the Northwest Florida Symphony Chorale. She is the Music Director at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Niceville and would like to thank her family, friends, and Coworkers for all their love and support. Luke 1:46-55
Dayna Colmon Fobbs - Priest Dayna has been singing in church for most of her life. This is her second time performing with Northwest Florida State College. She was last seen in Sister Act and she is delighted to be back. She also sings with the Northwest Florida Symphony Chorale. She is an educator, a worship leader, a wife, and a mother. She is excited & grateful to be part of this production.
Mike Braud – Priest Mike is thrilled to once again be on the Mattie Kelly Main Stage and working with the staff at Northwest Florida State College after last appearing as Ren in Footloose. He currently serves in the United States Air Force at Hurlburt Field. He is the author of several published works including One Thousand Words (Theatre Wit/Chicago Musical Theatre Festival 2017/2015) and The Seven (Theatre Baton Rouge, 2013). He is proud to assist in telling the story of such a timeless, and yet timely, show as Jesus Christ Superstar.
Mark Holtan Jr. - Ensemble Mark is a current Fine Arts scholarship student at Northwest Florida State College. He has won fifteen consecutive first-place interpretation awards in competitive acting (H.I. and D.I) he also won the national qualifier of the year, He received an “excellent” ranking in playwriting, pantomime, and Large Group Musical at the District 1 Thespian competition. Mark has appeared in The Crucible, The Little Mermaid, Mamma Mia, and Macbeth. Mark is currently writing a few plays and musicals himself. He hopes that his hard work and dedication will allow him to become a full-time actor in theatre one day.

Rachel makes her Mattie Kelly Arts Center debut in Jesus Christ Superstar. She has appeared in many shows throughout middle and high school- the most recent being South Walton High School’s production of Kiss me Kate. Her favorite past roles include Wednesday in The Adams Family and Gabriella in High School Musical: The Musical. She would like to thank the incredibly talented cast and crew for being so welcoming, and her family for supporting her every step of the way.
Taylor, a South Dakota native, is making her debut on the Mattie Kelly Arts Center stage. She has previously performed in the community at Story House and Stagecrafters, and is completely thrilled to be performing with Northwest Florida State College. Taylor found her love for theatre in college where she studied Musical Theatre. Her love for theatre extends backstage where she enjoys working with costumes. She would like to thank her husband, Mason, along with her friends and family for their support through this adventure!

About the Crew James “Clint” Mahle - Producer Clint is a 42-year veteran of theatre who has worked both professionally and in academia. Currently, his work at NWF State College includes Chair of the Division of Humanities, Fine & Performing Arts, scenic design as well as directing, stage management, acting, and stage combat. He holds a BFA in Scenic Design and MFA in Directing from the University of Mississippi, and MFA in Staging Shakespeare from the University of Exeter in Great Britain. He has taught at the University of Mississippi and Ball State University. Previous on-stage credits include Le Misérables (Javert), Aida (Zosier), Anything Goes (Evelyn Oakley), Shenandoah (Brother Nathan), The Lion in the Winter (Richard) and Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat (Brother Gad). Clint has previously been an equity stage manager, scenic designer, and set decorator on many major industrial projects. He has directed a multitude of plays as well as written and produced five of his own.
Darla Kain – Director Originally from Orlando, Florida, “Miss Darla” attended the University of Florida on a full acting scholarship and received a BFA in 1982. Her career in the entertainment industry spans 40 years where she has worked as an actor, singer, dancer, director, choreographer, Théâtre educator and acting coach. Her most treasured roles to date include the title roles in The Unsinkable Molly Brown and Mame, as well as Mama Rose in Gypsy on the Mattie Kelly Stage, and most recently on the Emerald Coast Theatre Company stage as Hannah in Spitfire Grill. In addition to her professional acting career in Orlando in the 80’s - 90’s, “Miss” Darla founded her own award-winning youth acting troupe, Our Gang Players, which gave her a chance to share her passion with

the next generation of theatre enthusiasts. Upon moving to the Emerald Coast in 2000, she continued sharing her passion with students of all ages directing over 80 productions at various youth theatre organizations including Oz Theatre in Fort Walton Beach and Emerald Coast Theatre Company in Miramar Beach. Currently, she enjoys coaching actors of all ages at her professional acting studio A Class ACT Studio, founded in 2010. Many of her current and past students are successfully pursuing their careers in larger markets including Atlanta, New Orleans, and Los Angeles. Darla is thrilled to be a part of the JCS creative team and looks forward to future endeavors with NWFSC!
Skylar Smith – Music Director Skylar Smith is an Assistant Professor of Applied Voice at Northwest Florida State College. She also serves as the director of the vocal ensemble, Voices of Northwest Florida. Prior to her time at Northwest Florida State College, she attended the University of Mobile where she obtained her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in Vocal Performance. Her most recent roles include the Countess in W. A. Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro and Magda in Gian Carlo Menotti’s The Consul. Skylar has also performed locally with Emerald Coast Theatre Company in their Broadway Cabaret and as a Christmas Caroler. She currently resides in Niceville, Florida where she is continuing to pursue her passion for teaching and performing. This is her premiere musical with Mattie Kelly Arts Center at Northwest Florida State College and she looks forward to more in the future!

About the Crew Kyle Sanders- Choreographer
Tony Borella- Sound Designer
Kyle began his dance training in this building when it was Okaloosa-Walton Community College while at Choctaw High School. He attended University of Florida where he continued to train and perform with Gainesville Ballet Theater. His dance education continued in NYC at Alvin Ailey American School of Dance. Since he began working, he has had the privilege of working and traveling all over the world at various theme parks, dance companies, touring troupes, and cruise ship companies. After a 6-year stint at sea with Princess Cruises, Kyle hung up his dance shoes to accept a corporate position in the company as a Show Production Specialist in Los Angeles. Three years ago, he returned back to his hometown with his husband and three dogs to work in the family’s construction business. Kyle is very grateful to have the chance to return to where his whole dance story began and work with a great cast and crew!
Tony is in his twenty-first year as Sound Engineer at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center and has been the sound designer every production since A Chorus Line in 2001. Alexis Howard – Costume Designer Alexis received her MFA in costume design from the National Academy of dramatic arts at trinity college Dublin. Before pursuing her master’s degree, she worked at Creative Costuming at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL and Children’s Theatre of Charlotte, in North Carolina. While at MKAC she has costumed The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Footloose and various college productions.
Caitlin TaraBori – Stage Manager By day Caitlin is the NWF State College Instructional Support Specialist for the Humanities, Fine & Performing Arts Division, by night she is your friendly neighborhood stage manager. She was previously seen in the cast of Footloose and The Hunchback of Notre Dame at Mattie Kelly Arts Center. She has had the pleasure of stage managing nine previous productions, her favorites include: The Tragic Life and Death of Dr. Faustus, Uptown 1.0, and Sword Against the Sea. This is her first-time stage managing a mainstage musical, and she is so excited to spend the summer doing what she loves with an excellent cast and crew. She would like to thank everyone involved in making this show a reality.
Riley Cleveland - ASM Riley is a 2021 graduate of Niceville High School, where she was an active member and President of the theatre department. She has acted, directed, choreographed, and much more. This is Riley’s fourth summer musical with Northwest Florida State College. She previously worked as stage crew for The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Assistant Stage Manager for Footloose, Cabaret, and finally Jesus Christ Superstar. Riley leaves this week to attend troy university to obtain a degree in theatre, as well as international politics. Josh Smith - ASM Josh is a 2021 graduate from Niceville Highschool, he has taken part in theatre since he was very young. Starting off, Josh played small roles and helped backstage. His family is highly involved with theatre and he wants to thank them for their wonderful support. He is very happy to have had this chance and would like to thank NWFSC for the opportunity to work with such a talented cast and crew.

Allison Everitt This production of Jesus Christ Superstar is dedicated to our good friend and colleague, Allison Everitt. This summer ends Allison’s time with Northwest Florida State College and Mattie Kelly Arts Center. Professor Everitt has been a voice instructor at NWF State College (Formerly OWC) for over twenty years and taught Music Appreciation, Intro to Humanities, Intro to Musical Theatre, Musical Theatre Voice and Movement, as well as directing Madrigals and Soundsations Show Choir. Under her direction, the NWFSC Madrigal Singers have performed concerts in France in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2019. Professor Everitt received her BA in Music Education from FSU and her MA in Humanities from the University of West Florida. Allison has been a featured soloist for the NFSO for over 30 years and is also active in Musical Theatre productions where she played a variety of roles including Madame Thernardier in Les Misérables, and Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast. She has been the vocal couch for OWC/NWFSC summer productions Oklahoma, The Man of LaMancha, West Side Story, Crazy for You, Guys and Dolls, A Chorus Line, Into the Woods, Will Rogers Follies, Camelot, Annie Get Your Gun, Aida, Anything Goes, Gypsy, Beauty and the Beast, Grease, Big River, The Wiz, Les Misérables, Spamalot, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Sister Act, and Footloose. Due to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, Allison was unable to enjoy working on a final summer musical with the department before her retirement early summer of 2021, so we dedicate this show to the caring, passionate, talented, kind friend we have had the pleasure of working with. We wish you a happy and fun retirement. Break a leg, and do everything with love!
