Founded by Emmy-nominated Choreographer, Chloé Arnold, SYNCOPATED LADIES is the most viewed Female Tap Dance band in history. Known for their viral self-produced content, they were recognized by Beyoncé, who not only shared their work saying “They Killed It”, she then transformed the homepage of Beyoncé.com to feature Syncopated Ladies, and invited them to perform live internationally.
Beyoncé’s support catapulted them onto a Global platform, and since then, Syncopated Ladies’ trajectory has skyrocketed, amassing over 100 MILLION VIEWS online and sold-out tour dates across the United States, Canada, and United Arab Emirates. They also have received praise from Whoopi Goldberg on The View, Janet Jackson, Ciara, Lupita N’yongo, as well as many other celebrities and news outlets. MEET THE LADIES
Chloé Arnold (Director/Choreographer) Emmynominated choreographer Chloé Arnold has choreographed over 70 episodes of The Late Late Show with James Corden featuring A-list actors from Will Smith and Hugh Jackman to pop superstars Ariana Grande and BTS. Her work can also be seen on other hit TV shows So You Think You Can Dance, Good Morning America, the Ellen Show, The Talk, A Black Lady Sketch Show, Hello, Jack! and John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s A Legendary Christmas. Chloe most recently choreographed the Apple TV+ musical film Spirited starring Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds, and Octavia Spencer and Jerry Seinfeld’s Unfrosted for Netflix. Live performance credits include CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live, Mariah Carey’s Merry Christmas to All at Madison Square Garden, Good Morning America, Global Citizen Week, New York Fashion Week, Essence Fest, Imagine Justice (featuring Common, J. Cole, and Andra Day), Glamour Women of the Year Awards, Billie Jean King Leadership Initiative at the US Open, JP Morgan Chase Women on the Move at Radio City Musical Hall, CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, Women in the World Summit at Lincoln Center, Democratic National Convention and many more. Chloé was named one of LeBron James’ “The Strongest,” a campaign featured in Essence to celebrate his 16th Nike Sneaker release, was on The Root 100 List, and was featured in Shonda Rhimes and Microsoft’s “Language of Leadership” panel discussion.
Chloé is also an entrepreneur who holds a degree in Film from Columbia University. She and her sister Maud produced the award-winning documentary Tap World, are the co-directors of the critically acclaimed DC Tap Festival, and co-produce the Hollywood Tap Festival with Debbie Allen and the Debbie Allen Dance Academy. They have been recognized by Columbia University as Rising Stars, by the US House of Representatives as arts preservers and ambassadors and won the 33rd Annual Mayor’s Arts Award for Excellence in Performing Arts. Through the Chloé and Maud Foundation, they give back to the community by creating equal opportunity access to dance programming and education for underserved communities. During the pandemic, they gave free classes to over 25,000 students worldwide online, and continued their after school programs in South Central LA, and Favelas in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
Maud Arnold (Co-Executive Producer, Writer, Dancer)
Recognized as one of “Tap’s Leading Ladies” by Dance Spirit Magazine, Maud is a sought out teacher, judge and performer worldwide. Some of her credits include: Apple TV+ musical film Spirited starring Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds, and Octavia Spencer, CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live, Mariah Carey’s Merry Christmas to All at Madison Square Garden, Good Morning America, The Late Late Show with James Corden, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Kelly Clarkson Show, The Ellen Show, So You Think You Can Dance, Black Lady Sketch Show, Boardwalk Empire, Switched at Birth, and Secret Talents of the Stars with Mya. Maud has appeared in national commercials and print ads for Toyota, GAP, and CANTU and has worked with Beyoncé on several commercials and music videos. As a choreographer, some of Maud’s credits include Theater Camp, the comedy film that premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Good Morning America, American Horror Story, The Get Down, a VISA campaign, as well as commercials for Target, Macy’s and Aldo and was the Associate Choreographer on Breaking Brooklyn. Most recently she choreographed the upcoming film Freaky Tales produced by Macro and Y2K produced by A24. As a director, Maud’s credits include Condola “Dola” Rashad’s Space Daughter Series and Sophia Noel’s Tonari. Maud is also a female entrepreneur who holds a degree from Columbia University in Film. She was a producer of the award-winning documentary Tap World and with her sister Chloé she founded the Chloé and Maud Foundation, a 501©3 that produces the DC Tap Festival and Hollywood Tap Fest as well as Chloé and Maud Productions, pioneering new experiences for dancers and artists worldwide.
Gisele Silva (Dancer, Dance Captain) is a performing artist, instructor and choreographer from São Paulo, Brazil. As a Brazilian native, she has forged her path in the United States and made a name for herself as a leader in the tap dance community. With Syncopated Ladies she has graced stages all over the U.S. with a national tour and various performances at the Apollo Theater, Lincoln Center, Essence Fest, BET Awards, CNN New Year’s Eve Live and more. Ms. Silva is a founding member of the acclaimed New York based tap company Music From The Sole, the brainchild of fellow Brazilian dancer, Leonardo Sandoval. She has performed at many prestigious venues including New York City Center, Guggenheim, Jacob’s Pillow, Vail Dance Festival and the Joyce Theater. Gisele was selected as an ambassador for Brazilian based dancewear brand, So Dança. As a teaching artist, Gisele has taught for tap festivals and conventions all over the world. She is a faculty member on Turn it Up Dance Competition and Shake the Ground. Beyond tap dance, Gisele is a member of the Afro-Brazilian Dance Company Viver Brazil, where she serves as both a performer and teaching artist. Some of her commercial credits include ScHoolboy Q and Travis Scott’s music video “Chopstix”, DanceOn channel on YouTube, The Jones Project, Rock in Rio and more. You can also see Gisele in the Apple TV+ musical film, Spirited starring Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds and Octavia Spencer. In the 2023 holiday season, Gisele was part of the cast of Dorrance Dance’s production, “Nutcracker Suite” choreographed and conceptualized by tap dance phenom and MacArthur Genius Grant recipient, Michelle Dorrance. Gisele performed the lead role of Clara.
Ki’Leigh Williams (Dancer), a midwestern native from Indiana began her professional dance career at the age of 10 performing and touring with the offBroadway show, Tap Kids. After touring for 8 years, she graduated from Marion High School and began her studies at Point Park University. Ki’Leigh played for the Point Park Women’s soccer team, majored in Forensic Science with a minor in Chemistry and Biology all while teaching Tap & Hip-Hop for their community classes and International Summer Dance Intensive. The big move came in 2014, when she left for the west coast. Once moving to Los Angeles, Kileigh began teaching tap & hip-hop industry styles at Movement Lifestyle, Millennium Dance Complex & Motus The Company. She is also the founder and creative director of the all-female dance collective, The GentleLadies. She’s featured as a dancer on projects with Usher, Adam Levine, Big Boi, Jesse McCartney and AlunaGeorge. Ki’Leigh also worked with Cirque Di Soleil, and has been seen on Disney+: “Encore”, “Spirited” on Apple TV+ and in the short length Remy Martin film, “TeamUpForExcellence”. She’s super excited to be along for her second Syncopated Ladies tour!
Delaney Prescott (Dancer) An OC native Dancer and Instructor, Delaney is thrilled to be one of the newest members of Syncopated Ladies. She can be seen in some of their recent viral videos covering “On My Mama” and “Float”. Performance credits include the Emmy Awards Governors Ball, Pasadena Dance Festival, Laguna Dance Festival along with countless other dance festivals and competitions throughout the country.
Allison Semmes (Songstress), a Chicago native, was born into a musical household hearing jazz, blues, classical and world music. She received her B.M. at University of Illinois Champaign Urbana as a coloratura soprano and her M.M. at New York University in Musical Theater. She has graced Broadway stages playing Josephine Baker in Harmony: A New Musical, Diana Ross in Motown the Musical, and Nabalungi cover/ swing in Book of Mormon. Broadway National Tours include Disney’s The Lion King, as Sarabi and Nala u/s and Diana Ross in Motown the Musical 1st & 2nd National Tours (NAACP Theatre Award nomination, Chicago Broadway World Award winner for Female Lead Actress). Other favorite theatre credits include: Little Shop of Horrors (Kennedy Center), Oo Bla Dee (Dir. Ruben Santiago), Shout Sister Shout (Seattle Rep). Some of her favorite concerts include Kurt Elling’s “The Big Blind” (Jazz at Lincoln Center & Detroit Jazz Festival 2021), Ted Hearne’s “You’re Causing Quite A Disturbance” (featuring Erykah Badu & Brooklyn Philharmonic) & “Songs in the Key of Life” (Stevie Wonder - Toronto) and recorded for Stevie Wonder’s song “Can’t Put It In the Hands of Fate.”
