Perched upon a sunny ridge above the Eel River at 1,800 feet elevation and planted in native soil in Hugelkultur style beds, the Cannabis grown here produces unique flavors reflective of the farm’s terroir.
Voltron boasts aromas of soft cheese, mild spice, rich earth, fuel and fresh cut flowers, all mingling together forming one of the more nuanced and complex bouquets I’ve come across anywhere.
The buds have a lovely plump treelike structure and sport a thick coat of trichomes - atypical of most full season flowers we come across.
The flavor matches the nose with floral, earthy, spicy and lightly gassy notes, and the smoke is smooth and minimally expansive in the lungs.
A couple pulls off a hand rolled joint and I noticed a loosening of the muscles, with my shoulders dropping and my neck relaxing. An even and mellow, yet functional high crept in - suggesting this strain is good for daytime use.
