ROYAL BATH & WEST SHOWGROUND, SHEPTON MALLET, SOMERSET WEEK 1
WEEK 2
Saturday 25 – Friday 31 July 2015
Sunday 2 – Saturday 8 August 2015
The mission of New Wine as a movement is to see local churches playing their part in changing nations. The church was established on the promise of change: of hearts, families, communities, cities – that the entire history of humanity and the earth itself would be changed by those swept up in this movement of God. The reality of change is rooted in the reality of God’s promise that he will work in and through our lives. And this is a cause for celebration! Our prayer for the 2015 National Gatherings is that God will meet us in our corporate worship, through teaching from his Word and in ministry; that together we’ll celebrate all the good things that God has been doing and continues to do in our midst; that there will continue to be people healed, marriages strengthened, family relationships restored, friendships developed and people coming to know Jesus for the very first time; and that we will be sent out in power by what will be a catalytic week in all our lives. Come and join us as we embrace together the change God has for us, and be the change agents that he wants us to be as we play our part as local churches changing this nation. With my love and prayers, Mark Bailey
Leader, New Wine
TEACHING, WORSHIP, MINISTRY
Join with thousands of others to hear first-hand from internationally acclaimed Bible teachers during our main morning and evening celebrations. Throughout the day, choose from a carefully crafted programme of seminars that cover all areas of life – relationships, apologetics, personal freedom, church planting, workplace issues, parenting, cultural transformation and Holy Spirit ministry.
‘ God spoke to me through the Bible teachings – his Word changed my life and the lives of those in my church’
‘ I was richly blessed and aware of God’s presence in worship, and left re-centred in the love of God’
Whether you prefer a more intimate acoustic setting, or the big sounds of the main stage, you can expect passionate and captivating worship that enables encounter with God. We believe in the power of prayer – whether over a burger in your camping village, in one of the dedicated prayer venues, or during prayer ministry at the end of a worship or teaching session. So if you’ve got something to pray about during the week, there’s no time like the present.
NEW WINE KIDS
Our age-appropriate kids’ groups for 0-11s are led by a team of talented and experienced children’s workers, all passionate about providing the best possible week for your family. Your little, and not-so-little ones, will have loads of fun while you’re free to enjoy the adults’ programme. Outside of group time, there’s everything from air hockey to Xboxes – Nerf guns, water fights, a photo booth, hair and nail extensions and more!
‘ It’s a huge part of our year. Our children insist on going, loving the chance to be with their friends, the incredible children’s work and the space to play’ NEW WINE YOUTH
For 12s to 18s, there are loads of opportunities to learn, create, reflect and connect. There’s a range of talks and workshops from inspirational guest speakers, covering everything from social justice to relationships. We have a full sports programme including football and basketball tournaments, as well as just-for-a-laugh sport for all. The Flava Café serves drinks, snacks and treats and includes after-hours events such as Blind Date and our cheesy retro disco. The Vibe Café is the place to chill out, hang out with friends and make new ones, with live music, games, gaming, pool and more.
‘ I came to New Wine as a Christian, but not knowing the love of God, despite many people praying for me. I was part of the New Wine youth group when I truly knew God loved me like the father I felt I never had’
URBAN VENUE
FAMILY TIME
We don’t want you to completely lose track of your kids on site, so there will be time set aside each day for parents to get in on the action. In addition to the activities listed above will be interactive games like ‘Dad Dancing’, ‘Make Up Mum’ and ‘Parent Pies’! Under 5s can also come with their parents, grandparents, carers, older siblings or friends to our special preschool venue. This will include worship, messy play, fun family activities, a warm welcome and a cup of tea. There will also be a live link to the main celebrations so adults can enjoy the teaching while their children play. Plus, if your little one is eager to start the day before everyone else, the venue will be open to come and get a cup of coffee, feed the baby, or simply pass the time at what feels like the middle of the night!
‘ Every year we are blown away by how our children, at such a young age, meet with God and grow in their faith’ ALL INCLUSIVE
For people with special needs and their families, the Our Place venue is a haven where our dedicated team of volunteers will ensure that everyone can grow in faith and worship as full members of the church family. We also make it possible for people to transition to their age-appropriate venues for part of the programme.
‘ New Wine is the only holiday we feel we can go on as a family because of our son’s special needs’
Whether you live in an urban area or have a passion for urban mission and ministry, our Urban venue offers a full programme of creative, contemporary, magazine-style celebrations and seminars, with fresh, dynamic and edgy worship. It’s the place to hear and share great stories from our inner cities and estates as we celebrate God’s goodness together.
TIME OUT
With a vibrant main venue bar, and an after-hours line-up including movie nights, speed dating, open mic, and opportunities to show off your dance moves, there’s lots to keep you occupied outside of the daily programme, with plenty of opportunities to meet people from other parts of the country. Our on-site cafés are open all day and into the evening, selling fairly traded speciality coffee and homemade cakes. Run by our charity partners, come and curl up in a quiet corner, sip a latté, and learn about how you can change the world. The Marketplace is our onsite shopping centre and sells everything from snacks and treats, to clothing, jewellery, books and CDs; so you’ll be able to browse for the perfect gift.
JUST LOOKING
Not sure what you believe? Got some big questions? Just Looking is a safe place for those who want to explore questions of faith. Instead of following a ‘programme’, we respond to the issues that a particular group wants to explore. We also take care to explain the whole range of possible Christian views – even (or especially!) for the trickier questions. There’s no judgement, and guests can say exactly what they feel or think.
‘Alan is married to a Christian and loves to see his kids enjoying New Wine. He counts himself an atheist, and has been coming to Just Looking for years. He honestly can’t imagine he’ll ever change – but keeps on coming!’
CHURCH LEADERS
Bringing those from your church family to the National Gatherings is a great way to strengthen your church community, seeing your congregation grow in faith and love for one another. It also provides a unique opportunity to meet with others in church leadership in a relaxed environment – to share stories and experiences, to imagine the future for your area, and to allow God to bring this further into reality.
‘ As a leader, it’s been a key place of personal renewal and continuing growth, a source of fresh inspiration and challenging perspectives’
VILLAGE HOSTING
Whether you’re organising a barbecue for your whole village or putting on the kettle for a newly arrived family, being a Village Host is one of the most important roles on site. All you need is a love for people, and perhaps an endless supply of tea bags! In recognition of the hard work and dedication required for the role of Village Host, we offer one half-price place per village host team.
COME FOR FREE SERVE ON TEAM!
Want to get more involved behind the scenes? Serving as a volunteer on one of our teams is an amazing way to grow spiritually, learn new skills, and meet lots of new people. Find out more and apply online at www.new-wine.org. The teams below include a free place:
HAPPY CAMPERS
Where possible, we camp delegates together in villages providing a great opportunity to build friendships and meet new people. Come as a larger church group and you can share in childcare, enjoy playing games and bond together over a barbecue. For smaller groups and individuals there is the option to be camped together, so it’s easier to make new connections. Just let us know by emailing info@new-wine.org by 7 May 2015. If you’re new to camping you’ll soon learn the ropes through the help of your Village Host. If your home comforts are still calling, you are welcome to secure your own accommodation off site, and come and go as often as you like.

Don’t just take our word for it!
Here’s what others say about our past events:
‘ I came away with a greater love for God and for the lost, a greater commitment to teaching God’s word and a greater dependence on the Holy Spirit’
‘ It was a relaxed enough environment to have longer, deeper interactions, which coincidently led to a rather significant conversation – over a beer and a burger – with my now-husband!’
‘ If I look back at the times when Jesus has most impacted my life, many of them have been while sharing a summer conference week with my church, and that experience has continued to shape what God is doing back home’
‘ I found a sense of refreshment and encouragement for facing the challenges ahead.’
