#LiveYourDream @NWOSU We all have them, but each dream is unique. Each dream is special; each dream is yours. As a student at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, you will have the chance to live your dream by earning a degree that will bring to life the opportunity to succeed in your chosen career. Many students also live out their dreams by participating in the activities that make campus life at Northwestern special. Activities from Greek life, to campus clubs, to intercollegiate athletics, provide students with the opportunities to make lifetime memories and lifelong friends.
How is #NWOSU helping you to #LiveYourDream? See answers from Carmen Sander, May Carmen Sander 2014 graduate from Seiling, Okla., and Reid Miller, Pampa, Texas, junior: http://youtu.be/ oZmVIJVFrhE and http:// youtu.be/3cF1AZBRrQI. Reid Miller
There are nearly 50 campus clubs and organizations available to you, along with major campus events like Howdy Week, Homecoming, Red Riot Week, and Bahama Breakaway. Throughout the year, students also take advantage of participating in intramural sports or attending student performances in music or theatre.
Leadership opportunities in the Student Government Association attract students from every corner of campus, and for students who have a dream of becoming the next great journalist, our award-winning campus media offers a myriad of possibilities. Part of living your dream is embracing the spirit of our university and our mascot – The Ranger. Our mascot is more than just a bucking horse and its rider -- it represents a sense of adventure, courage, and the willingness to push the limits. Ask a graduate or an upperclassman about what it means to be a Ranger, and you will fully understand the Northwestern experience. Does this sound like your kind of dream? #NWMyStory: So many things in my life today can be traced back to my time at NWOSU -- the family that I added, the life-long friends that were made and the career I’ve pursued. NWOSU gave me a passion for my education, even being encouraged to continue that education into graduate school and ultimately a Master’s degree. So many late nights in the dorms, at student ministries, in the newsroom and in the office. 709 Oklahoma Blvd. will always be a special place in my life. ~ Eric Scott, 2007 mass communication graduate

Through leadership courses as part of our general education program and by participating in special programs such as the President’s Leadership Class for freshmen and the Chesapeake Scholars/Leadership Northwestern program for upperclassmen, all students are given the opportunity to develop qualities that will prepare them for leadership and service roles on campus, in their communities and in their professions.

My time at Northwestern has been nothing less than amazing! When I ďŹ rst came, I did not know what to expect. I quickly found out that this was home. Between the amazing staff and professors I have never felt more in place. At Northwestern Oklahoma State University I have been able to not only further my education, but also my leadership skills. I have been able to be involved in Student Government, Northwestern Student Ambassadors, CORE, REAL, and intramural sports. I have also been able to be a Ranger Connector and a Resident Assistant. No other campus would allow me be apart of so much, and still have time to make life-long friends! Northwestern was the best decisions that I have made! I have had the time of my life and cannot wait for my senior year as a Ranger! #NWOSU #NWmystory

“Home is where the heart is, and Northwestern Oklahoma State is a place with heart. It’s about family, it’s about friends, it’s about a support network. We have that in Marine Corps., but this place has it over any place that I’ve ever been... Some of the senior leaders in our Corps come from the naval academy, the ivy league schools on the east coast, but I’ve always been proud to be from a small college in the heartland of America, where people learn values such as responsibility, hard work, and what it takes to do a good job. #Northwestern-Woodward www.nwosu.edu/Woodward
Northwestern Oklahoma State University -Woodward has given me the unique opportunity to obtain a higher education without sacrificing jobs and connections at home. Living at home while studying is more economical and less chaotic. I’m grateful for the chance to earn a degree right here where I feel at home.
Students attending classes at Northwestern-Woodward are able to take the same types of undergraduate courses that are available at Northwestern’s main campus in Alva. Professors are available on-site, as well as via Interactive Television (ITV).
I am overjoyed each semester watching the students as they reach for their educational goals. I am filled with happiness as I watch them walk across the stage and receive their diplomas. It is such a satisfying experience to know that having a campus in Woodward provides the access many students need to obtain an undergraduate or graduate degree. I listen as students tell me how having a campus closer to home has enriched their lives.
