Location, accommodation, facilities Goldsmiths is just 15 minutes by train from central London, and has all its facilities together on one site.

—New Cross, South East London. — Within 15 minutes’ train ride of central London. — New Cross and New Cross Gate stations within 5 minutes’ walk.

— There’s a strong campus feel to life at Goldsmiths. We’re big enough to offer some fantastic facilities, such as our library, media centre and fitness centre, but not so big that things seem impersonal and unfriendly.

Accommodation — International students are guaranteed accommodation throughout their studies (you must meet application deadlines). — Most halls are within five minutes’ walk of the campus. — Costs range from £89 (standard rooms) to £120 (en suite) per week (2010-11 fees).

— Strong support system for students includes Careers Office, Counselling Service, Medical Centre, Disability Team, and Chaplaincy.

International Foundation Certificate* Prepares you for a BA degree in all of Goldsmiths’ areas of study, and contains both English Language and academic content. You can choose from the following pathways: Arts and Humanities; Computing; Health and Social Studies; Media and Cultural Studies; Social Sciences.

Graduate Diploma* Prepares you for an MA in the majority of Goldsmiths’ areas of study, and contains both English Language and academic content. You can choose from the following pathways: Computing; Counselling and Therapy; Creative and Cultural Industries; Media, Culture and Society; Psychology.

Programmes contain a large element of academic content in subjects relevant to studying at Goldsmiths, as well as training in key academic skills such as listening and note-taking, academic reading, discussing academic topics, giving presentations and writing essays. Students who successfully complete the Pre-sessional will not need to take another IELTS test.
