For this $ you can get 50% reimbursement of:  GPs and Prescriptions up to $1,000pa ($20 max per prescription item)  Optical up to $250pa  Complementary Medical costs (E.g. Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Counselling etc.) up to $500pa  Dental up to $250pa If you already have Primary Care, upgrading to Primary Care Extra could be as little as another $1.83 per week!* To find out what other benefits are included visit www.healthcareplus.org.nz It’s all about the claim! Last month we paid ………….  1254 Members a total of $191,974 in Medical claims (GPs Prescriptions, Diagnostic tests etc)  231 Members a total of $40,458 in Optical claims  451 Members a total of $49,612 in Complementary Medical claims  18 Members a total of $612 in Dental claims (first month of claims for the new Dental Benefit – but the claims are rolling in now!)

Claiming made easier 

 

Simply scan or take a photo of your medical receipts with your phone (make sure that the photo clearly shows all relevant information) and email through to the claims team along with your completed claim form.

Claims forms can be downloaded from the website www.healthcareplus.org.nz Keep a specific folder for all your medical receipts Claim frequently so claims don’t fall outside the 12 month eligibility period

Claims for the new benefits are starting to roll in. Don’t forget that you need to complete the stated Waiting Periods before you can start claiming these new benefits. Dental claims have a 6 month Waiting Period and Vaccinations 3 months (from the date you start paying Primary Care Extra subscriptions).

Remaining an Honorary/Associate Union Member

Or  Paying Non-Union Member rates (providing that you have previously been a HealthCarePlus Member for at least 5 continuous years)
