Toll road model for SH45-SW advanced by Mobility Authority by Bobbie Jean Sawyer The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority unveiled the alternative to be advanced for further analysis at a Dec. 10 open house on State Highway 45 Southwest, a proposed 3.6 mile stretch of road that would connect MoPac and FM 1626. After reviewing public feedback, project engineers determined that building a new toll road on stateowned right-of-way was consistent with the project’s purpose and need, and minimizes cost and impacts to existing neighborhoods. “We’re trying to be innovative and develop and build this highway in the best environmentally sensitive way we can.
