It is a comfortable space where neighbors gather to enjoy good food and connect with one another, get connected to community resources, and participate in and lead programs to benefit the community. CORNER MARKETS: On Saturdays, beginning January 28th and going thru the month of February, The Corner is hosting an art and food market, from 9am12noon. We’ll have several neighborhood residents selling their creative works and baked goods. We’ll also have activities for kids. Please spread the word and drop by for some fun. COFFEE HOURS: The Corner Coffee Shop is now open from 7am-9am Monday thru Thursday. Drop by for coffee ($1), hot chocolate (50¢), and hot tea (50¢)!
MUSIC LESSONS: Beginners piano, vocal, and electric bass lessons will be offered at The Corner beginning in February at a very reasonable cost! 30 minute lessons for children ages 6-17 and 30 or 60 minute lessons for adults. Prices vary by age. Please contact The Corner if you are interested!
SAVE THE DATE—COMMUNITY NIGHT: On Saturday, February 25 you are invited to save the date for a neighborhood block party and community meeting, hosted by The Corner featuring an evening of jazz music, food, neighbors, and ideas for keeping West Oakland and Oak Hill a great place to live. The event will be held from 6pm-9 pm, with the music starting at 7pm. More details to follow!
