CHAIRS OF OAKVILLE DIWALI On behalf of the entire Oakville Diwali Committee, we’d like to take this opportunity to extend our warmest wishes to everyone celebrating Diwali here in Oakville and across the country. Diwali, the Festival of Lights, has become an important annual celebration for all of us as it brings together family, friends and communities to enjoy the colours, warmth and vibrant culture. It is so exciting to see neighbourhoods across the city light up every year, as people from all backgrounds come together to share in the festivities and celebrate our country’s diversity. Although over the past couple of years our celebrations have looked a bit different than years past, the core message remains the same. May knowledge conquer ignorance. May light overshadow darkness.
