Spring was a busy time for many of our sites that hosted a variety of activities and events as part of the 1916 commemorations including the opening of the Office of Public Works new visitor centre at Kilmainham Courthouse. President Michael D.
Higgins was the guest of honour at a special event on 30th March to officially open the new facility, which is one of nine ‘Permanent Reminders’ being delivered as part of the Ireland 2016 Centenary Programme.
