CHAMBER AND GENENTECH PARTNER ON STEM AWARDS FOR LOCAL CLASSROOMS Each year the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce and Genentech partner in the distribution of STEM awards to classrooms in the Oceanside Unified School District. This year one of the recipients was North Terrace Elementary School on Camp Pendleton. Chamber CEO Scott Ashton and Director of Events and Military Outreach Kristi Hawthorne visited the class and were treated to a demonstration of how the award funds were used. Awards were presented to approximately 40 different classrooms in the district, ranging from Kindergarten through High School.
