Construction Updates

Alta Oceanside continues construction on the residential component of its mixed- use project located at 1015 North Coast Hwy. in Downtown Oceanside. The project includes 309 apartments with 5,615 sq. ft. of ground-floor commercial/retail wrapped around a five-level above-grade parking garage with 569 parking spaces for residents, commercial/retail, and residential guest parking. There will be 283 market-rate and 26 affordable

The 31,000 sq. ft. store will move into the now closed Stater Bros grocery store and is anticipated to open in Spring 2024. The store will join other retailers such as Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Staples, Petco/ Vetco, World Market, and Old Navy, and newly signed tenants including Urbane Cafe and Tengu Ramen. Currently under construction in the center is a 4,900 sq. ft., three-tenant building that. will include a drivethru Starbucks and Pacific Dental.

The Arroyo Verde retail center recently completed construction on their 27,200 sq. ft., four-building project located at the northeast corner of Oceanside Blvd. and Rancho del Oro Rd. adjacent to the proposed new master planned business park of research and development, biotech, and pharmaceutical facilities. The Nitto Denko Corporation recently broke ground on their new 16,150 sq. ft. facility at 501 Via del Monte. This expansion consists of research and development laboratories, offices, and related support spaces to address the growing needs of the business. This growth will provide additional job opportunities for Oceanside. Nitto Denko Technical Corporation focuses on cutting edge technologies that provide practical solutions for leading industry sectors such as pharmaceutical, drug delivery, medical, electronics, environmental, optronics, nanoceramics, Nanoorganics and others into the next decade and beyond.

Pacific Coast Plaza, a 450,000-retail power center, will get a new Nordstrom Rack department store at 21002191 Vista Way.

Boot Barn opened at 2555 Vista Way in the El Camino North shopping center, offering a wide selection of cowboy boots, work boots, western wear, workwear, and outdoor gear.

Chemistry Hair Lab Oceanside is open at 865 S. Coast Hwy., offering a range of styling services and products.

Corner Pizza at 1940 S. Freeman St. in the Freeman Collective, serving Brooklyn-inspired pizzas, beer and wine.

China Fusion recently opened its second restaurant at 2530 Vista Way, Ste J, in the Fire Mountain shopping center, serving fresh Chinese cuisine.

Casera Latin Kitchen & Bakery is now open at 4225 Oceanside Blvd., Ste D in the Rancho del Oro Gateway shopping center.

Himalayan Bistro Oceanside at 4225 Oceanside Blvd. in the Rancho del Oro Gateway shopping center.

Flip Flop Shops Oceanside opened at 214 N. Coast Hwy. in Downtown Oceanside, selling beach, surf, and relaxation footwear.

Makmak Organic opened at 121 N. Cleveland St. in the Pierside South building in Downtown Oceanside and serves healthy organic South East Asian-inspired street fare.

Crumbl Cookies recently opened at 459 College Blvd. in the Mission Marketplace shopping center.

Nu Spine Chiropractic Oceanside at 2530 Vista Way, Ste P in the Fire Mountain shopping center, providing affordable, convenient, quality chiropractic care.

Tengu Ramen is open at 2183 Vista Way, Ste B2, in the Pacific Coast Plaza, serving ramen, appetizers, and more.

The Comics Stronghold recently opened at 1906 Oceanside Blvd., Unit G in the Oceanside Village Square center, offering comics and collectibles.
