The method of this book concerns the estimation work of the welded piping systems construction and refers to pipe sizes ranging from (DN) of ¼” to 100” having a thickness from 1,20 to 59,54 (mm).
The core factor of the method is the Schedule Standard joint (DN, tSTD) which is set as a reference baseline point per each pipe DN range of thicknesses and identifies numerically:
1) How much harder it is to install a heavier (DN, ti > tSTD) to Schedule Standard wall pipe, resulting in a set with more man-hours than it would have if the work could be done on the same route profile but with the lighter Schedule Standard pipes, and
2) How much easier it is to install a thinner (DN, ti < tSTD) to Schedule Standard wall pipe, resulting in a set with fewer man-hourσ than it would have if the work could be done on the same route profile but with the heavier Schedule Standard pipes.
