Pasado el pueblo de Benifato encontramos una casona de piedra con un cartelito que dice: La Venta de Benifato. En esta venta tan acogedora podréis degustar platos tradicionales de nuestra provincia y, especialmente, del Valle de Guadalest y otros valles vecinos, como pelota borde (trigo, un poco de pan duro y muy poquita carne, envueltos en una hoja de col), puchero de cerdo, alubias y pencas (francamente delicioso), olleta de blat (trigo en valenciano)… Elaboración casera cargada de mimo y tradición.

In this cozy place you can taste traditional dishes of our province and especially from Guadalest Valley and neighboring valleys, such as pelota borde (wheat, some hard bread and very little meat, wrapped in a cabbage leaf), pot of pork, beans and penca (a vegetable similar to a Swiss chard, frankly delicious), blat stew (wheat in Valencian)... all homemade prepared with great care and dedication. Una de las plazas más importantes de la ciudad es la que da nombre a este local. Chaflán de Luceros es un local ideal por su emplazamiento y por su oferta gastronómica. La carta está capitaneada por sus arroces, elaborados con productos de primerísima calidad, nuestro favorito es el de atún rojo con alcachofas. Pero además no te puedes ir de allí sin probar su jamón Alta Expresión, su exquisita selección de quesos, los magníficos salazones de la provincia o su marisco fresco.
El Llagostí es uno de los locales de la Calle San Fernando de Alicante que sin lugar a dudas tienes que visitar. Su nombre proviene del plato estrella de la casa, los “langostinos pelados al horno con sal rosa del Himalaya’’, una delicia sencilla, sana y sabrosa. Pero no debes olvidarte de sus entrantes y tostas, platos cuidados con mimo y elaborados de una manera muy sana, ya que no encontrarás ninguna fritura en su carta. El Llagostí no te defraudará.
