Description: This program will review the process of setting up an effective peer review system.
It will show how the program can be developed, who should be involved and what the components of such a program should be. The process needs to be centralized with immediate oversight from the medical executive committee. There should be a physician who is a senior member of the hospital executive staff who has overall responsibility for managing the peer review system. There should be a centralized committee, possibly a subcommittee of the medical executive committee, which manages the peer review system.
Effective peer review requires a concentrated effort to make sure that it identifies problem areas and problem practitioners. It needs appropriate protocols so that the program and its output remain objective www.onlinecompliancepanel.com | 510-857-5896 | customersupport@onlinecompliancepanel.com
