The International Classification of Diseases is a healthcare nomenclature used to assign numerical codes to descriptions of diagnoses, conditions and administrative circumstances for which individuals seek medical care or evaluation. Currently, the ninth revision, clinical modification or ICD-9-CM is used in the United States. However, ICD-10-CM/PCS implementation is currently set for a 101-2015 compliance date. From this webinar not only will participants learn about the intricacies of ICD-10, the differences and similarities between ICD-9 and ICD-10 but also strategies to assist with compliance will be covered.
