Been hot rodding since 17. Built a project T out of the hot rod magazine plans as my first car. All my cars have been put together by myself, never been able to afford a running car back in the day. Started Hibiscus Rodders in the 70’s with a bunch of mates and have been involved ever since either on committees and currently a NZHRA Delegate for our zone. Family is also inflicted with petrol in their veins (can’t help that with mum and dad addicted). Our son is about to cert a 700hp 1980 VB Commodore – a big dollar build with no expense spared. Our daughter and grand daughters are avid beach hoppers in the 66 Impala. Love everything about hot rodding, people, the smell, the noise, the music. The day I drive a car that sounds like an electric drill please screw the lid down on the box tight.
