On The Move Our law school calls the heart of a thriving and vibrant downtown Oklahoma City home. Our magnificent landmark building is within walking distance to downtown law firms, major energy companies, the county and federal courthouses, governmental agencies, and other big time players in the business world. The location is ideal for blending law with government, business, and civic engagement.
Access to Professionals Whether you want to practice law in a courtroom or are thinking the law will open up other career opportunities, an important component of legal education is access. Our location is ideal for making externships, employment, and volunteer opportunities easily available to our students. Our networking opportunities don’t end in Oklahoma City! With alumni in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and around the world, students have connections no matter where their life takes them.
Passing the Bar Once law school is complete, students face one of the biggest milestones in their legal careers: the bar exam. We ease the pressure by offering a free bar prep course beginning the last semester of law school. Once students graduate, we provide supplemental bar review instruction through lectures and numerous practice tests – at no cost to the student. We will even provide lunch on the days of the bar exam. Students can take comfort in knowing they have been adequately prepared for life after law school.
Experiential Learning Our emphasis is on practical experience through a variety of learning environments. Our skills integration classes are taught by full time faculty and working practitioners so that students learn the pragmatic application of the law. Our clinical opportunities provide a window into the world of legal practice, and our more than 80 externship placement sites give students a real-world, hands-on experience before graduation. Our entire curriculum is designed to make the transition from legal theory to practice seamless.
Personal Attention At our law school you will find a highly credentialed and dedicated faculty. They offer a rigorous, innovative education, integrating doctrinal analysis with strong professional skills training. But our faculty is also known for providing personal attention, giving our law school a community feel. At orientation, students are assigned a faculty mentor who keeps in touch with their mentees, offering advice and providing support. We believe personal attention and a hands-on innovative curriculum are a successful combination for our students.
