The National Summer Employment Programme provides work experience and offset back to school expenses for high school and tertiary students, 16 to 24 years ‘Selected’ participants in the National Summer Employment Programme will be paid using the NCB Keycard Cash or any active commercial bank account.
All applicants attending National Youth Service Sessions such as Interview, Banking, Orientation, Placement etc. should observe the following:
New Pa rti cipants without a Keyca rd Ca sh card will need the fol l owing a t the Banking Session:
Females
Offi ce a ttire must be worn; however uniforms will be a l lowed for INTERVIEW a nd BANKING sessions ONLY
Onl y one pair of earring, one chain and watch i s allowed.
Ha i r must be neatly groomed; no outrageous hair s tyles or bri ght colours; hair extensions or weave must be same col our of hair.
No s pa ghetti s trap or halter top blouses unless a jacket is worn.
Applicants 16-17 years must have:
School Id, Pa ssport or Pa ssport s ize photograph s igned a nd s tamped by the s chool’s principal or vi ce principal
TRN
Two (2) NCB Reference Form completed by s chool’s Pri nci pal or Vi ce Pri ncipal a nd one other reference (J.P or Pa s tor)
Two (2) compl eted NCB Reference Forms for parent or gua rdian who is giving permission
Ski rt must be knee length a nd loosely fi tted and worn with s tockings.
Compl eted NCB Keycard Cash application form.
Dres s pants must be l oosely fitted.
Proof of a ddress (any post marked envelope with your perma nent a ddress received by you s ix months prior to ba nking date)
No open shoes or s andals; however, peep-toe shoes ca n be worn, i f the back of the shoes is enclosed and backless shoes ca n be worn i f the toes a re enclosed.
Applicants 18-24 years must have:
Na ti onal ID, Passport or Dri ver’s Li cence
TRN
NCB Reference Form completed by Justice of the Peace, Pol i ce Officer a bove the rank of inspector, Head of Department or Fa culty.
Compl eted NCB Keycard Cash application form.
Proof of a ddress {any post marked envelope with your perma nent a ddress received by you i n the previous six months or a ny current utility bill in your name} (light, wa ter or telephone bill)
NB: ‘Selected applicants’ will be texted to attend banking session and must bring copies of ALL relevant documents.
Males
Mus t be properly groomed in ta ilored pants and collared s hi rts with neck ties (NO JEANS ARE ALLOWED)
Socks must be worn
No l a rge belt buckles.
One cha in, ri ng and a watch is allowed. NO earrings a re a l lowed.
Ha i r must be l ow-cut and neatly groomed. No cornrows, pl a its or design in hair
All applicants will be called or texted for a scheduled interview and must bring a written Fiveyear plan to this session. Applicants who have exams can call to reschedule Applicants will be selected using a computerized process of randomization.
