Solitude 4 104 x 28 x 153 cm, Aluminium Rainer is an emerging artist who was born in Duesseldorf, Germany in 1959. He received a formal education at the FH Lippe, Detmold in Interior Design and Architecture. In 1988 he moved to the San Francisco Bay store specializing in the . Rainer uses metal to sculpt the human form, creating works that elicit both the strength and delicacy of the body. “It is fascinating how these little metal squares allow me to create the soft flowing form of the body, leaving the viewers eye and imagination to complete what is not there. I choose to bronze plate the sculptures with a final finish of unpolished antique bronze, a texture that reminds me of artifacts found after being hidden for centuries in the ground.�- Rainer
