In a highschool sketchbook, was merged the mythical unicorn with a tiger... thus creating an amalgam that represents two natures: Idealistic Fantasy and Fierce Reality—TIGRIKORN. He treads the line between competing worlds and ideals; a bit of a misfit, his adventures are chronicled here. Welcome to Tigrikorn #33! This issue has student work from the Fall 1, 2005 Cartooning Classes at Kaleidoscope School of Art in Barrington, IL (4th-5th grade and JrHi thru High School). This edition has been expanded to fit more Student Comics from the Fall 1 classes. Even with the extra pages some of the student ‘toons would not fit in the printed version. The full version can be seen online at:

Batman vs Dracula DVD
W What a match up! The Batman against the Vampire Bat Man: Dracula! This movie has been playing on Cartoon Network as well but the DVD has some fun extra features including an animated mini-documentary on the science behind the Dracula Legend and vampires. They don’t spend a lot of time explaining how Dracula got to Gotham, but once he is accidentally awakend from his coffin, his mission is to convert all of Gotham to the ranks of the undead. I was impressed by the animation of this relatively new version of the cartoon Batman. The style has a slight anime flavor but there is no doubt that this Batman is the action super-hero we’re all familiar with. The fight scenes are well thought out. You wonder how the Batman can ever gain the upper hand with a truely supernaturally powered villian. On top of everything else, both the Joker and the Penguin are thrown into the fray. I won’t give away the ending, which is clever. However I highly recommend this DVD to Batman fans.--Doug Jennings
I Love Egg website www.iloveegg.co.uk
This fun little interactive site is a must see. I guess if someone can make a cartoon about a sponge, there can be cartoons about eggs. The I love Egg site is creative and full of animations to watch. Besides the animations there are backgrounds to download, postcards to send and, of course, I-love-egg products to buy. I just like looking at the short cartoons the best. The creativity, color and design are what entertains me when I go to www.iloveegg. co.uk ! --Doug Jennings

THE MISSING EPISODE: This web exclusive Arthur’s Pad comic is actually part of the original story arc that introduced Arthur and his buddies. On the web, that story begins at: http://www.geocities.com/tigrikorn/arthurspad.html See if you can figure out where this comic goes in the sequence of the strips from that “pilot” series. I left it out of the web version of the story because it was double-sized compared to the single-row strips that preceded it. Now everyone can read this hand-colored episode that I almost forgot about.
