Conference Objectives 

To explore how new tools and mechanisms of responsible innovation can help open pathways for public purposes such as energy and food security, climate change mitigation and systems transitions, while building public trust in the STI system, and preventing or correcting potential negative effects;

To pool practical ideas, experiences and knowledge to anticipate longer-term impacts of emerging technologies and support capacities to promote, steer and cope with socio-technical change;

To explore what kinds of multilateral approaches might be necessary for promoting responsible technology and inclusive transitions.
