About the OECD
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an international organisation that works to build better policies for better lives. Our goal is to shape policies that foster prosperity, equality, opportunity and well-being for all. We draw on 60 years of experience and insights to better prepare the world of tomorrow.
Together with governments, policy makers and citizens, we work on establishing international norms and finding evidence-based solutions to a range of social, economic and environmental challenges. From improving economic performance and creating jobs, to promoting strong education and fighting international tax evasion, we provide a unique forum and knowledge hub for data and analysis, exchange of experiences, best-practice sharing, and advice on public policies and global standardsetting.
The output of the OECD is published in over 500 new books every year, as well as numerous journal articles, working papers and statistical publications and databases.

Businesses
• Our reports provide an in-depth view of standards, markets, countries and regions. They can help businesses identify potential risks, uncover hidden growth potential and monitor policies which could affect a particular industry or region.
NGOs and think tanks
• OECD’s analysis can help experts deliver convincing arguments for the need for reform in a particular field. OECD’s well-founded recommendations can be used as a basis for alternative approaches.
Government and public administration
• Learn from the experiences of other countries. Which policies work well elsewhere and why? The OECD provides suggestions for potential policy improvements and recommendations regarding their implementation.
