ProVU4 Compact is a simple, affordable, fixed build, temperature and process controller with a reduced depth of only 30mm. It is therefore ideal for OEM applications where mounting space is limited. ATEX approved power supplies
• ATEX units tested to EN60079-15 For use in hazardous areas Puls is now able to offer a selection of units with ATEX approval. The CD5 series of dc-dc convertors were designed with ATEX in mind and carry the approval as standard. Following customer demand, special versions of the Q series, single phase, 24V units in 5, 10 & 20A are also available. These are modified versions of the standard units with a dual conformal coating otherwise all electrical specifications remain the same. All units have been tested to EN 60079-15 for use in Zone 2, category 3G hazardous systems and are available to order now. 6

One system – one safety circuit MOSAIC is a modular, configurable safety controller for protecting machines or plant. The system is capable of monitoring safety circuits where, traditionally, multiple safety relays would have been used. MOSAIC comprises a master unit (M1) and a maximum of 7 expansion units connected to the M1 via an internal bus system. It is configured from your PC via the Mosaic Safety Designer (MSD) software which has an easy and intuitive graphical interface. The system is capable of monitoring several safety devices including: • Safety sensors • Light curtains • Laser scanners • Mechanical switches • Non-contact safety switches • Safety mats • Emergency stops • Two-hand controls Advantages over traditional safety relays: Simple and easy programming software,
coupled with a reduction in the number of components required, means faster installation and the possibility of transferring your programme to duplicate machines or systems if required. It also means that the safety system is tamperproof. These advantages can be seen in the example below. Using traditional components this could take up to 6 x safety relays plus additional control gear but is much simplified with MOSAIC. It can also be connected to all the most common industrial fieldbus systems with the relevant expansion unit.

Shockproof counters are immune to deliberate manipulation The patented K series of electromechanical micro counters from Kubler are the only products available on the market that are shockproof and 100% resistant to interference from external magnetic fields!
The high shock rating helps avoid false counts while the magnetic field resistance makes accidental or deliberate manipulation almost impossible. The popular Cubo O series of thermoplastic enclosures from Ensto are now available in a convenient new size option of 400 x 400mm. This new size was developed in response to customer demand and complements the other sizes available. The base is the same standard depth of 132mm but like the rest

Additional screw towers for box sizes 300 x 600mm and 400 x 600mm allow even more possibilities. The additional screw towers are located in the base on both sides of the centre line. It is therefore now possible to divide the enclosure in two sections using separate mounting plates, DIN rails or even a
DIN rail fitted along the 600mm side & supported in the centre
combination of both. These accessories can all be supplied with the enclosure including a new length of DIN rail for the 600mm side as it can now be supported in the middle on the additional screw towers.

Good range of sizes, many options and a wide range of accessories. The smallest box available is 200 x 200mm and sizes increase in multiples of 100mm up to the largest size of 600 x 400mm. The base is available in ABS or polycarbonate with plain sides or with metric knockouts and the lid can be grey or transparent. There are many accessories to choose from including extension frames, mounting plates, DIN rail, hinges and catches. As with all Ensto enclosures a complete customisation service is available so that any box can be tailored to your exact requirement. One of the most versatile pressure sensors on the market! From Tecsis the P3276 range of pressure sensors has such a large array of features that it is difficult to list them all in one article. SMS relay now with even more functionality! This simple solution for monitoring and controlling installations using SMS text messages now has even more features! Firstly there is a new analogue controller available with four digital and two analogue 4-20mA inputs. The unit is fixed in this configuration but gives the option for direct connection of 4-20mA signals without the need for a signal converter. The other analogue controller has six configurable inputs, digital or analogue 0 – 10V. All analogue inputs can be scaled in the software to match your application and
values can be included in the text message. The Call-In function simply allows outputs to be activated by calling the number instead of sending a text message. As well as being quicker and easier to activate this also saves on the cost of a text message. Another nice feature now allows the outgoing text message to be sent to an
e-mail address and is easily configured in the latest version of software. The remote access feature allows you to remotely connect to the controller from any PC with a GSM connection. This means the controller can be remotely configured or monitored without even having to visit the installation on site. An option to stainless steel perhaps? The brass 0167 pressure switch from Suco is a low cost option to stainless steel pressure switches used in pressure control circuits in water applications. Most people think that a stainless steel switch is the only option for water systems due to the potential for corrosion but that is not always the case. For standard, clean water brass is often as resilient to corrosion as stainless steel at a fraction of the price! The 0167 has a range of features enabling it
