EMC issues grounded with flexible Earth Braids With EMC issues more relevant in industrial automation it is important to have a good ground connection. Unlike standard earth cables and lugs; braided earths, due to their construction, eliminate low and high frequency disturbances.

MBS earth braids are manufactured with press welded ends with various pre-stamped hole sizes so require no additional connection clamps or drilling.

The flexible braids are available in tinned copper for extra protection or bare copper if preferred. OEM Automatic has a range of standard lengths from 100mm to 500mm available from stock for immediate delivery. These braids are an ideal solution for bonding control panel doors or external equipment grounds in many different applications.

Customised enclosure solutions OEM Automatic can offer a wide range of standard enclosure solutions from Ensto but did you know that any of these can be customised to your specific requirements?

Plastic enclosures in ABS or Polycarbonate are available in a wide range of standard sizes. Metal enclosures can be manufactured to customer specific dimensions while still retaining IP 65/66 ingress protection in sheet steel, stainless steel AISI304 and AISI316.

All standard boxes need at least some modification before use so why not let us quote for your requirement to see how competitive this option can be.

Machining services Enclosures can be machined with cut outs, holes, threaded holes and countersinks to the highest level of accuracy and quality. There is no minimum order quantity for this service and while bigger volumes will

help reduce the price we can still be cost effective even on smaller quantities.

Silk screen printing Enclosures can be customised by silk screen printing and with this method it is easy to add company logos, operating instructions and symbols even for smaller batch sizes.

Mechanical assembly All enclosures can be supplied pre-assembled with components including DIN rail, terminals, windows, backplates, cable glands etc.

New safety modules for drive monitoring Kuebler extends its safety products range with its new safety modules for motion monitoring. The Kuebler Safety modules guarantee safety at the highest level.

The units are designed to be used in a number of applications for example mechanical or plant engineering, process, production, warehouse and conveyor technology. Thanks to the modular construction every user can select the most suitable solution for a safe motion in speed and/or position.

The modules can be extended from the simple over speed relay up to a complete safety control system. In addition, the devices are freely programmable for the safe processing of light barriers, door monitoring, emergency stop/off pushbuttons, two-hand control units etc.

The modules achieve the functionality of a complete safe drive controller and even boast a type certificate released by the TUV. The graphic programming using systems has a very simple structure and does not require any specific programming knowledge. Validating the software is also part of safe control and for this

purpose the Safety-M modules print out a validation report.

Universal programmable transducer now has built-in data recorder The P30U now has the added advantage of being able to record the input signal and store it directly to the internal memory or external SD card.

With 4MB of internal memory up to 534,000 records can be stored and accessed via RS-485. For extra storage of up to 4GB there is an optional front panel memory card slot which can also be used for quickly transferring the internally stored data without the use of RS-485.

The LCD display shows the value being measured at the input along with the unit of measurement and the status of the alarm outputs. The unit can be programmed from the front panel buttons or via a PC using the free LPConfig software.

Programmable parameters include all input characteristics along with mathematical functions and multi point scaling for nonlinear applications.

DIN rail timers are essential for volume users Crouzet have expanded their extensive range of DIN rail timers with the new “essential” range.

Specifically aimed at volume users looking for keen prices there are 3 different versions available in single packs with an MOQ of 30 pieces. Alternatively the bulk packs of 60 pieces allow even greater economies of scale.

The timers are packaged in a slimline housing only 17.5mm wide with screw terminals. The single function delay on make option EMAR9 is available with supply voltage 24Vac/dc and the EMAR7 in 240Vac. The multi function EMER8 has 9 different timing functions and a wide range supply voltage of 12 – 240Vdc & 24 – 240Vac. All versions have a 5A rated changeover relay output and timing range adjustable between 0.1 seconds and 20 hours.

The timers are ideal for many applications including lighting control, HVAC, industrial automation and process control.

New options for screw terminal range Contaclip has enhanced their market leading “Feed through screw terminals” range with the addition of two new accessories. The “Clip-on test adaptors” and “Snap-in pick-off terminals” help make this range one of the most innovative on the market.

“SMAG pick-off terminals” can be fitted in the 4mm-10mm terminals giving up to 2 extra connections. The SMAG’s are mechanically snapped into the SRK/SSL terminal housing and the busbar is connected into the terminal block. Available as 4mm to 2.5mm, 6mm to 4 and 10mm to 6mm.

“STA test adaptors” can be fitted quickly and easily onto the full range of SRK/SSL terminals. Thanks to the design the adaptor can be used where cross connectors are already fitted. This is achieved by rotating the adaptor by 180° thus allowing a connection in the other cross connect channel. Any number of STA’s can be mounted together with the aid of locking pins and intermediate spacer plates.

Power supplies just keep on getting smaller 480W of power only 65mm wide Puls power supplies are well known for high efficiency and at 94% this unit is no exception. High efficiency not only allows smaller housings but means that less heat is generated leading to increased component reliability and much longer lifetime.

SMS relay with enhanced features The GSM-PRO relay module provides a remote control & maintenance solution that can signal changes of inputs and outputs through text messages and email.

The email function allows for a better overview of messages and makes it easier to collate and sort alarm and status reports.

It is possible to configure the unit to work using your own server or alternatively the Contaclip server can handle all the email functions without any extra cost or third party involvement.

All 8 inputs can be configured as digital or analogue (0-10VDC) and the unit has an operating voltage of between 10...30Vdc so is also suited for mobile applications.

It is also possible to link 4 of the inputs directly to the 4 change over relay outputs to give some simple logic function.

GSM-PRO now has a built-in hours counter for the digital inputs as well as a full event data log that can be easily downloaded or sent automatically by email.

Once the status of an input or output changes the corresponding field turns yellow.

Programming of the GSM-PRO could not be easier. The software is free to download and the unit can be remotely programmed from anywhere in the world providing you have an internet connection. This negates the need for site visits to update any user settings or firmware.

Coming Soon Available soon will be the new GSM-PRO portal which is easy to use software that will allow you to remotely monitor an unlimited number of GSM-PRO modules in the field.

The system is based on port forwarding; the only thing that is required is the IP address and port in the modules you want to monitor plus an internet connection with a fixed IP address.

It is also possible to remotely activate outputs on all or single units.
