At OEM we recognise this is a growth area and our suppliers are responding by developing products to address these specific applications. Following our acquisition in March of Echobeach Ltd we became the UK importer and distributor for Contaclip DIN rail terminals and connection systems. This further strengthens our product offering to OEM’s and system builders and makes us a very attractive option for customers wanting a wide range of panel products from a single source. New range of high performance aseptic diaphragm valves The new valves have applications in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and life science markets and their enhanced CDSA (circumferential defined sealing angle) design, enables savings to be made in the time taken for system cleaning and sterilising. Tested and approved to EHEDG document N°8, ASCO Aseptic valves feature a circumferential defined sealing angle which, compared with valves with a conventional seat body, provides a number of important operational benefits. These include no dead volume, reduced cleaning times in SIP systems, reduced time and chemical volume of CIP systems and better sealing performance.

Level headed double deck terminal
• Screws all on same level • Quick installation time • Compact & only 6mm wide • Internally linked option Most double deck terminals have an inherent problem! Once the top deck cable is installed it obstructs the bottom level actuation screw. This makes it difficult to access the screw without removing the top level cable again or risk damaging it!
Contaclip have solved this problem with the RKDG4 double deck terminal. This clever design has all the actuation screws on the same level and this guarantees easy access to all of the screws even when fully wired. This can also help reduce the possibility of leaving the bottom screws loose as with a standard ‘Top Hat’ style double deck terminal.

Pressure sensors for safety applications in mobile hydraulics The new European directive 2006/42/EC will place new requirements on machine builders in many areas. The new pressure sensors type P3375 from Tecsis fulfil SIL-2 according to IEC 61508 and Category 3, Performance Level d, according to ISO 13849-1. Therefore they can be used for mobile hydraulics applications to meet the requirements of this new directive. Internal redundancy of the pressure measurement and two independent outputs sent to an on-board processor are used to monitor the integrity of the system. Applications include excavators, quarry machinery, agricultural machinery and off-highway vehicles.

Pressure sensitive safety edge‌ quickly

Redundancy modules utilise mosfets instead of diodes
The latest addition to the Puls Dimension range is two new decoupling modules that can be used to build redundant power systems. Ideal for critical applications, the modules allow two or more identical power supplies connected in parallel to provide continued operation following the failure of any one unit. The unique feature of these units is the use of mosfets instead of diodes for decoupling the two input channels. This reduces the power losses and therefore the heat generation allowing the units to be packaged in smaller housings saving
valuable DIN rail space. For the first time just one redundancy module is now required to build a 40A redundant system. The units are the same style as the rest of the Dimension range and have large screw terminals for a safe and fast installation.

Temperature sensor with programmable USB interface The PT Compact USB is a new model of the PT Compact product line from Tecsis GmbH.

The measurement range can be adjusted quickly and simply with the easy-to-use software so a special programming interface is not needed. The user only needs a PC with a standard USB port. The temperature range of the standard version is -50…200°C. A high temperature version with -50…600°C measurement range is also available.
